  1. GreT lineup other than barry starting and barkley on the wing.
  2. Good idea, if he wants to leave then by all means go ahead. If not, tally ho and all that. Same should apply to McCarthy and Mirallas.
  3. Joel Coleman stones jags Baines Besic barkley Kone Naismith mirallas Lukaku Subs - Osman, eto'o, garbutt
  4. Mirallas Howard No idea Osman? Rooney No idea 5? Thomas hitzelsburger (sp?) Before my time No idea
  5. Love hockey. Played in college fraternity league, and played in a rec league in California. LA Kings are my team. USA is decent but Canada and Finland are the front runners by a mile. Very good teams and goalies. Lundqvist is a beast.
  6. I say go for it and sign another young cb and play 352.
  7. Lol well played mike. Just trying to make my experience here better.
  8. Sad really. They aren't doing any worse than last year and are clear of the bottom three. I wonder if he will come back or go coach in Scotland or something.
  9. Good, hire a better team doctor and upgrade the X-ray machine.
  10. Exactly. I'm happy for Joel he won't be pressured and knows he will have time to prove himself. If he does well it could be the undoing of Howard, not a bad thing either. I'm rooting for Robles, I hope he shows that fa cup form!
  11. yeah i've done that and not been able to find the ignore option on their profile page.
  12. I've seen the Ignore Topic at the top, but I can't find how to ignore a poster. Thanks!
  13. spot on steve. support the team win or lose, support the players until they've left Everton, support the Manager until he retires or is fired, same goes for the board etc. you can criticize and question and offer suggestions, but the way some of these people talk you'd think they were professionals and they aren't.
  14. i thought the same thing mike! the article i read said he played there for 4 years and scored a killer goal that beat liverpool in the FA cup semis and is a hero to them. does seem a backward move, less transfer funds, smaller team, and worse team. maybe he's worried he's getting the axe.
  15. you act as if RM never thought of that? he obviously knows that, and probably had the academy lads in practice doing just that. but when he saw them getting torched by the likes of aiden championship mcgeady and christian no show atsu and bobby realized "it would be better to play barkley out of position because that is still better than atsu". managers do it ALL THE TIME. look at any other squad outside the top 5. people play out of position and managers experiment and made due when there are injuries and suspensions. get a grip fellas, theres a reason you're all accountant and shit and not football managers, it's not just your waist size.
  16. why is this not the time to experiment? with the same lineup we lose a lot. why stick with that? experiment, throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. maybe we'll win some games and find a good formula. better than just same old thing and losing.
  17. agreed the doom and gloom crew on here love when we lose when players are hurt, when top players play badly. sad really very sad. i grew up in cleveland oh which hasn't won anything from any sport since 1949. they back anyone and everyone, the fans are so passionate because they are desperate to win. here everyone is spoiled and "we should win the league, can't believe we lost to a team, blah blah". back the team lads, the bickering is making this place not fun.
  18. I expected you would be in here. Let me remind you, in the blue and white he's a one in one striker. :)
  19. Still top of the group in europa with a favorable draw to young boys.
  20. - Honestly I don't know of a squad hit harder by injuries than us. We had the best and biggest squad ever before all that. But our key players have all gone injured and some keep getting injured. - Aging players with some left in the tank have been found to be empty in the tank. Pienaar, Osman, Howard, distin, Barry, Eto'o, all have slowed down immensely to the point where next season for them might mean retirement. For the big 4 this wouldn't matter, for us it's half the squad. - goalkeeping used to be decent. Howard was protected by solid defending that made him look better than he is. Now that he doesn't have that the true Howard has been revealed. Either that or he's old, peaked at the WC, and is past it. Robles doesn't offer any competiton to keep him on his toes and offers little when playing himself. - Europe has strained is no doubt, but in years past where it was all resources and man power to premier league finish and fuck off the cups, we have a manager that cares deeply about doing well abroad and winning a trophy. Naturally with all the above issues there will be some let down elsewhere, which is the league form.
  21. Missed the match but read enough and highlights enough to give it to Kone.
  22. Spot on Brett. I agree with you and think we'll win and draw enough to not worry about relegation, but really believe he and the team subliminally are going all in on Europa. I think we have a good chance there as well. I'd love to see some new signings and some of the old aging players gone as well. He still doesn't have a team that plays his ball comfortably most notable the defense, goalies, half the midfield.
