  1. It would be great to see Cleverley go to another club in all fairness. He simply is not good enough for us. There is one statistic that is crazy, and that is when we played and drew with Cardiff 2-2. Cleverley played for 90 minutes and didn't make a single tackle. For comparison, Fellaini made 4 and the Medel (whoever he is) actually made 6 tackles. This goes to show that Cleverley doesn't have the right attitude to make it as a CM. One of the things that separated the United team in the 90s and that of today, was the fact that we had Butt, Scholes and Keane, players who are good at their job, but at the same time, took no prisoners. Old Trafford was a fortress because the midfield was always won by that trio. In fact, the match was lost at the pre-match handshake. Today, I don't see that with Carrick or Cleverley. If you cannot win the midfield battle, the match is lost, plain and simple. That is exactly what happened with us this season and although it was too late for David Moyes, at least he made one good decision, and that was to leave Cleverley at home, because he couldn't count on him.
  2. Words are words for me. They have no significance on my life so, life goes on as they say. Many thanks for the welcome in spite of what happened and well done on the victory, even if it hurts to say it.
  3. Was 'Proud_Lyon.' I was banned, though it was 50/50 in that I wanted to leave since having your own opinions that are contrary to Redcafe belief do not sit well and so I pm'd a mod to ban me but he didn't want to. Secondly, I told someone to play on the M62. As for the apologies, don't worry about it, since life is too short to get wound up on verbal abuse.
  4. Listen Nikica. I know you didn't mean me personally, I know that. However, sometimes, in heated conversations, things get said, and then it goes to a personal level and then everything just gets out of hand. One thing I have learned about my club is that there are fans who expect silverware every single year. I have seen an increase of this attitude since Sir Alex stepped down, where Moyes has only had 4-5 months in the job and they want him out. I have already had this argument with others, when I state quite categorically that it is a good job Sir Alex isn't our manager now, or if they were alive when he took over in 1986. They would have wanted him out before the seat was warm. The fans who paid for a banner to be flown over Old Trafford were a disgrace; they are allowed their opinion, but to do it like that just showed us up. In any case, the likes of Iczster and Irwin are good guys to be honest, and for some, this season has just been one horror story after another.
  5. Thanks for the welcome everyone. After what has gone on in the opposition survey, I am surprised that I am persona non grata... I am quite a friendly person in real-life too which doesn't help. @Nikica Paris is ok, but it is simply to fast, the Parisian attitude is terrible, but the food and landmarks are great, I would recommend them all. I only came to France in 2002, but live and work in Paris since 2009.
  6. To be fair Nikica, the Q&A was genuine as we have done a few before. Now, I came here in good faith and the only thing I spoke about post-Q&A was about a hypothetical situation without the loan signings. Plus there was an error where you might have been confused with Nickk66 who is an Everton supporter and I could see how it looked. However, I have never come here and verbally abused you or the others, and you can check out my posts in the thread too. My username is Wythenshawe_Red. As it happens, I am a Manchester United fan, born and raised in Manchester, and supported them for 35 years. However, I knew what the responses would be since I asked for honest answers.
  7. My only gripe with them is that they love Cristiano Ronaldo and in spite of what Sir Alex said about Real Madrid and 'not selling them a virus', I think there seems to be some hypocrisy. Just because Ronaldo plays for them. If it had been Suarez, Torres, or Djemba Ba, they wouldn't get half as much attention. Secondly, the thread about Barcelona is ridiculous and it is impossible for any Barca fan to have a reasonable debate simply because they are outnumbered. For information purposes, I have a soft spot for Barcelona and I was a fan of Messi, long before Ronaldo left for Real Madrid.
  8. I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in the Opposition Survey from United Reds. We do apologise for not including responses from everyone, however, I have linked your site to the thread. Many thanks once again and here is a link. Should you wish to tweet to other Everton fans on Twitter, then please feel free to do so. United Reds. http://www.unitedreds.net/threads/opposition-survey-everton-away-20-4-14.921/#post-25798
  9. These are great responses guys. I left you all to you own devices so that you can respond in peace instead of having a Manchester United fan lurking in the background. Suffice to say, with the match coming up on Sunday the 20th, the blog will be published before with the responses. All responses that are chosen will of course be credited via your usernames to thank you all. Secondly, the blog will be linked here so that you can all have a read. Will see you around chaps.
  10. Ok. That is not a problem. We have until the 20th of April and all responses will be represented as a blog on our site with the names of those who posted the answers. I am looking forward to the answers...I guess I will see a few expected responses.
  11. I think we have a better working relationship with you guys than the red side of Merseyside. Edit: Since it looks as though you are an established member here, it would be great to listen to your points of view about Everton, Moyes and Manchester United, whether in a good light or bad. 12. He wasn't the only person we took off 'your hands.' Only joking mate and many thanks for the welcome.
  13. Before I present you with the questions, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all in advance for your honest and straightforward answers, be they long or short. Should this be in the wrong thread, is it possible for the modmins to kindly move it to another part of the forum which is relevant just in case. Hello, I am an admin on the Manchester United forum United Reds many of us moving over from Red Cafe. First of all this is not intended to be any attempt at flaming each other’s clubs, merely an attempt to gauge the feelings heading into this weekend’s game. This season we are doing a feature called 'Ask The Opposition', where we go on forums of opposition teams prior to the match and ask questions before posting the responses in a thread and also in blog format. The link for the definitive article will be posted on http://www.unitedreds.net/ This is one we did recently for Newcastle United fans and will be created in the same way for Everton, with a logo. http://www.unitedreds.net/xfa-blog-entry/ask-the-opposition-newcastle-united-football-club-05-04-2014.30/ If any of you could answer any of these questions (answer as many/or as few as you want), it would be much appreciated. Question 1 Lets get it out of the way, what are your thoughts on Manchester United and in particular David Moyes this season who has moved from managing Everton Football club for nearly 12 years to moving to Manchester United? Question 2 After what has gone on and all that Moyes has done for Everton, are you ready to forgive him? . Question 3 After seeing what Robert Martinez has done with your team, do you think he has improved the way you play, and it what way does he differ from David Moyes? Question 4 Do you think having Lukaku has made a difference to the way you play with his physical presence? Question 5 Who is your most hated Manchester United player and why? Question 6 What are your thoughts on Martinez? Do you think he is the right manager to get you where you rightly deserve after so many years trying; a Champions league spot? Question 7 What does Manchester United versus Everton mean to you as an Evertonian? Question 8 We have played against each other many times over the years. Which is your favourite game against us, and why? Question 9 What are your predictions for the game on the 20th of April? Should you, however have any questions then, please do not hesitate to create a thread on our forum as we will be only too happy to respond.
  14. Good evening all. I am currently and admin from a Manchester United forum called 'United Reds.' I will not hide the fact, but I am a Manchester United supporter and have been for a great majority of my life. I have followed them through thick and thin, the good times and also the bad times, including this season. Anyway, I do have a soft spot for Everton since I used to watch them when I was younger; the days of Southall, Sheedy, Sharp, Reid and many others too numerous to mention. In any case, I hope that I can be a valuable addition to your forum in the future.
