  2. Sadly on our form (and the pts deduction both already taken and what could be taken further) I think it's time to resurrect the topic. Unless something really unexpected happens it looks like we fight it out with Forest and Luton for 18th. 10 games left. Bournemouth away 1 Newcastle away 0 Burnley home 3 Chelsea away 0 Forest home 3 Brentford home 1 Luton away 1 Sheffield Utd home 3 Arsenal away 0 Shite away 0 Projected total points: 37 Forest - 24 pts: Luton away, palace home, fulham home, spurs away, wolves home, everton away, city home, sheffield away, chelsea home, burnley away Luton - 21 pts: bournemouth away, forest home, spurs away, arsenal away, bournemouth home, city away, brentford home, wolves away, everton home, west ham away, fulham home
  3. Just for fun here's a look at the squad at the end of the season Out of contract: Lonergan, Crellin, Coleman, Young, Dele, Gomes, Gana, Harrison (loan end), Danjuma (loan end) GK - Pickford, JVirginia RB - Patterson CB - Tarky, Branthwaite, Keane, Godfrey, Holgate LB - Myko CM - Onana, Garner, Doucoure W - McNeil, Dobbin ST - DCL, Beto, Chermiti, Maupay
  4. The product is miles better than the last three years. Remember we won 8 games in the whole of last season in the league. We won our 8th on Dec 16th this season (17 games). Need to end this run of games (6) without a win though.
  5. He’s going to send me to an early grave. So wasteful.
  6. Not bothered one bit if he leaves...but we sure as heck better get someone in to replace him. We're threadbare on the wings.
  7. The other FA cup games this weekend without it were spectacular. And guess what no one was screaming like a maniac about any of the decisions the next day. The beauty of sport is the shared experience and part of that is an understanding human error will happen with a game played at this pace. I've said from the very beginning if VAR is going to exist it should only do so at full speed. Have as many angles as you want but if you need to slow it down to make a decision you've lost already. It also greatly reduces the quality of the officiating because they have a crutch for all crucial decisions instead of relying on their training. VAR is destroying the sport, more so than FFP, full stop.
  8. Absolutely loving this lot. Feels more and more like we’re getting our Everton back. Merry Christmas all! This is a wonderful board that helps deepen the collective experience of being a fan. So proud to be a blue.
  9. Bench is going to be very thin with no Branthwaite/Gana/Young/Coleman/Gomes. Begging not to see Keane in the XI. Pickford Patterson Tarkowski Godfrey Myko Onana Garner McNeil Doucoure Harrison DCL
  10. Not perfect by any means, who is, but exactly what we need at this club. Especially in this period.
