Mina has played  79 league matches for us. I hardly think stats lie that much.
But of course if you watched him yourself you'd see he's easily our best defender. It's not even close. With him the whole unit is more settled. Without defence has usually looked like a rabbit in a headlight. Individual errors from guys like Keane and Holgate have gone up. Mina is also easily our best defender at blocking shots.

You only basically calculate deprecation into loss, not the transfer value of player. This is how things work in bookkeeping everywhere. If a company invests in, say, a machine, cost of that machine is not loss. Instead they add the value of that machine to assets. But the machine loses value and this can cause a loss if it is not offset by increased revenue.
In football, usually player's value is deprecated during his contract. And many of our expensive players are still on their first contracts so their values need to be deprecated. On the other hand we will see quite a drop in deprecations because both Sigurdsson (~9m/a) and Tosun (6m/a) are removed plus their wages (and that of Delph as well, his value deprecation was only 2m/a).
But as has been said, FFP is calculated over three seasons and we made a big loss in the previous two. Last season should already have been much better since Walcott (5m/a deprecation + 5m/pa wages), (Bolasie, 6m/a + 4m/a) and we saved a lot of money on wages on James and Bernard (around 15m/a in total). Selling Digne also looks good in the books as his book value wasn't much anymore having signed in 2018 (book value has to obviously be deducted when a player is sold so transfer fee is not directly just profit).
But I suspect we will still be far from profitable considering how big the losses have been.

That would be odd because what stops other owners, like the Newcastle ones, doing the same? Just loan the club 500 million, then convert that loan and FFP is no problem?

So basically Brands has been replaced by Kenwrights mate. This guy criticized fans for wanting better.

Makis reacted to Gers fan in Nathan Patterson
    Hi  guys
Joined to see what you are saying about this young lad and to give you an insight from a rangers fan.

There is no doubt young Nathan is a star in waiting has been talked about  for a few years and came thru the academy  at the same time as Billy Gilmour (chelski/norwich)
He is a good raw player who has his faults but needs games at a higher level to progress he is fast and determined  and a real trier  many rangers fans expect him to progress  rapidly with regular  games and exposure  to a better standard of opponent  also if you like better or different  coaching!

He is pretty much nails down the Scotland  nation team slot now which is a sign of his undoubted  talent .
He likes to attack and is not scared to shoot  does not seem to tire easily.
Many like me would like to keep him but he can't displace our captain JT who by any standard  has been an incredible  player for us in the last 2 years and is not looking like his decline  is anyway near yet.
So what with our losses last year £23 million  and the requirement that wee need 8 million noted in December's accounts to finish season  this deal makes a lot of sense for the club .
Everton are buying  a rough diamond  if you can polish him he will earn the club a big fee  going forward .
I think if he settles in and gets a good confidence giving start over the next few months  next year  you will all be talking about him

We all wish him well  as most rangers  fans do for you guys we have many fans who have a soft spot for the toffees over the mob across the road from you .

Good luck  for the rest of the season .

We have been dead last in the firm table for ages. What just about keeps our head above the water is those first few matches. Since then we have been relegation form.

    Ross Barkley, a definition:
So much footballing talent, so little footballing brain.
Do not waste precious resources on a literal footballing dead end.
