Considering we don't have emerging talent it must've been a redundant job anyway .

Not dressing anything up. Unless he's actively coaching them to finish and pass well in training but bottle it when it counts, then I'll take it all back. But there's only so much you can do with those factors (and more) that are part of the overall problem before you look clueless. Honestly don't know anyone who would get this group performing as individuals and a team with the cloud hanging over the club and the years of bad mentalities in and around the club.
I've defended him in the past because the players were creating chances. But even the chances have dried up and I've not noticed much change in tactics (partly because he hasnt got a squad to change around) so it can only be in the players heads to improve things.
But all that aside, if we could afford to sack him he would've been gone already and I would be pissed off that yet another manager with yet another style hasn't been given time rather than be annoyed at losing him. I think thats always been my stance, i can defend circumstances but I get angry with the situation and keep insisting on 1 manager just for that 1 element of stability.
Whichever new owner we get will have him out the door on day one (he might already know this and maybe that's affecting him too, though he doesn't seem the type to me). But who turns this groups head around? Genuinely don't know and maybe a fire sale is going to be beneficial, so long as we have a manager in place.
That's not me accepting the poorness of our play, that's me recognising we're in a shit place and if I thought changing the manager would improve things, I'd be supportive of it. But I don't believe it will beneficial.

It's not acceptance of average at all, it's realising that reality is reality. And the reality is for us that we're pretty shit and that it's going to take a long time to improve to the extent that we challenge for anything remotely looking like success.
We're nowhere near chasing success currently but what I want us to chase is progress. That means finishing at least one place further up the league every season, possibly getting through to a further round in each cup (possibly because knock-out competitions are hard thing to get through).
What it doesn't mean is getting irate because the team isn't challenging for titles/cups all because we won a league in 1987. Times change. You have to realise where you currently are and where you want to get to. But it takes time and you need to have a bit of perspective.
Now, that does not mean that I don't want to get back to what we once were. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum means a hell of a lot to me, I have it tattooed on my skin. Nothing but the best is good enough is a fantastic motto to follow and we absolutely should live by it, but 'the best' doesn't really mean actually being the best of all. It means being the best you can be and the best we can be is not the best of all.
We need to learn to walk again before we can run.

I think a lot of people would love to replace Biden, myself included, but he's still a significantly better option than Trump. I find it crazy that someone would say that Biden is trying to destroy the US and that Trump isn't/wasn't. It was absolute chaos under Trump. He's the most polarizing president we've had in my lifetime by a wide margin. We are still feeling the negative effects of his one term. He's also a career criminal and should've been no where near the White House in the first place. The diehard Trump fans don't really care about politics or making the country better -- it's more about "owning the libs" to them.

He comes across as a very nice lad.  I'd love to see him get fit and and make his comeback with us.

Must've heard all the armchair managers online moaning about hoofball and thought he'd try and appease them.
Turns out, there's a reason we play hoofball 🤸🏼‍♂️

We that was well and truly a thrashing. This team's confidence is at rock bottom.
Everything to do with this club at the moment saps the joy and enthusiasm out of fans.
A reaction to tonights performance is a must against Forest. This team have to show something for the fans to react positively too next weekend.
I fear it's shit or bust for this team. If the fans turn on player, I don't think they have the character to deal with it as we would need.
we desperately need to see a win on Sunday.

The only thing Dyche can do is rip that team. If he starts the next game with the likes of Young, Doucoure, Coleman & Onana it shows he is actually okay with that performance. Beto was honking but the lad was at least honest.
Our problem is our players who have a slither of talent don’t seem to care so much & our players who are yard dogs (of which there is a few) do care.

I said it after Burnley. If we stay up it's in spite of Dyche.

Statistically our "blip" was the 3 wins going into December ...... the rest has been an absolute disgrace.

And that is why Chelsea have spent shit loads of money and still aren't challenging for anything - bunch of mercenaries most of them.

A bit of perspective.  Tonight's performance is one of the worst I've ever seen us have.
But out fate is still in our own hands, all the other teams around us are their own versions of shit too. We can still avoid the drop with another couple of winds, though its hard to see where they come from on a night like this.

The only reason I'm against brining in a new manager at the moment is that it wouldn't matter who we brought in. This squad doesn't even look good on paper no matter how you draw it up. They've been bad for a long, long time. Changing managers isn't going to solve anything just like it hasn't before in the past few years.

I'm no fan of Dyche but you give Guardiola the job tomorrow and we're not pulling any trees up. The club is absolutely riddled with fuckery from top to bottom, and this is just a by-product of how bad we are.

Regardless, an unbelievable job by Alonso. The fact that he's doing it at Leverkusen, and one of the perceived "top" European clubs has never been able to accomplish it, speaks volumes.
