  1. Garbutt is good attacking but probably not defensive enough for Sam
  2. Nah just hoping Sam and Steve read the thread and get ideas lol
  3. No suitable left backs, what about Daley Blind, apparently Roma's looking at him and they are talking about recouping the 13million it cost united, hes a decent player and versatile.
  4. I hope they get him fit and play some u23's games and then assess him, he is an international and was highly rated so at least get him fit and see what he can do.
  5. interesting that it's taking so long, is there an issue with personal terms?
  6. he will be desperate to prove himself and get into the world cup squasd, so for next 6 months if fit will be motivated to play out of his skin. After that who knows but 20 million isn'tt much in the current market
  7. I would only be interested in this as a loan to see how we works out, too expensive for a back up to Tosun cant see Sam playing both often
  8. Could be a good thing not playing tonight and rushing in without proper preparation and getting injured.
  9. Has anyone read this, putting it here as Niasse was mentioned when he broke back in the team. It's about Straq and his time with us. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/denis-stracqualursi-exclusive-interview-everton-career-goals-city-chelsea-tigre-a8073216.html
  10. he was supposed to be a talented lad, just wondering where he is now cant find a mention in reserves ar anything.
  11. Has anyone heard anything of this lad lately, or has he been abducted by aliens.
  12. when it comes to running through on goalkeeper from last night I would have Niasse infront of Morata, obviously not on all round game, but every stiker has their strengths and weaknesses. Apart from Cenk Tosun he is the complete star striker(here's hoping)
  13. Can we interest you in Oumar Niasse lol he's a proven goalscorer in the Turkish league.
  14. the lad is still young and learning, he did so well in same league for a lesser team last season so a lot may be down to manager and coaching, he's looking for a scapegoat and picked on Henry.
  15. I can't see many coming in. maybe LB cover and a striker if someone suitable is available, from his interview after last nights game he certainly wasn't suggesting buying for the sake of it, and hinted the players coming back from injury,Coleman Barkley baines bolassie mori etc would all be like new signings and if anything there would be departures possibly loans out for the younger foreign players sandro klassen etc
  16. At that age it's not too late to improve his finishing, being a good finisher is more about confidence and getting in the right place at right time which comes with experience. Some never learn it but DCL is improving as the season goes on.
  17. At the end of the day we needed someone. Yes he's not everyones cup of tea, but I say give him a chance, in the past he's been with clubs in worse situations than us and signed players within the other clubs budgets. Hopefully with a bigger budget he can sign players to help us move up the table and lay a foundation for the next manager in 18 months or whatever. He'll probably be fortunate that we are due several players back from injury in next month or so Barkley Bolasie Coleman etc. That will all help add pace to the team.
  18. We don't know if Moshiri has influence on the signings, I suspect he may have been involved in getting Rooney back to raise the profile. Walsh would be reposnbile for scouting players and taking names to the manager, but I'm sure Koeman had the main say on who was uliimately signed. In the end we overpaid for some decent but not good enough players and they are not settling in straight away, it could be pressure of being record signing like Sigi, being played in wrong positions or just adapting to the league. Sandro proved he could score for a poor team in La Liga Klaasen not only looked good at Ajax but taking team through to Europa league. There are many things that have gone wrong, but a difficult start and a lot of pressure and expectation from the ~£150m of signings are the main factors in my opinion, which has resulted in a team low in confidence and struggling. I can see imrpovements in the way the team are now playing so hopefully the results will start to come.
  19. The mess we are in as said above is not Unsworth making. There is a need for a major revamp in the squad, too much money was spent chasing unneeded players in the summer and paying way over the odds because Koeman for some reason wanted them, whilst keeping saying we needed a target man and left sided defender. There's plenty of time to change things round, I see improvement in the way the team are playing just need one good result hopefully against Watford to turn the season around. Remember we have played most of the top teams so things should get easier till xmas at least. The likes of Big Sam or Dyche may do better than people think due to them not being used to managing a team with our budget, or they may struggle.
  20. The talk of relegation is very premature, we are 5 points off 10th. We now need to start getting results and it will happen. We need to find a settled side and a way to utilize what we have until January and start getting results Rooney is trying to hard running around and trying to do everything, when only he and Niasse have scored in the league this season there's definitely an issue, you cant rely on a couple of players, where are the set pieces and getting goals from central defenders like other teams do. At least in the last two games the team are now trying to attack hopefully it just needs a goal or two and the floodgates will open.
  21. My view is he will always be best when a team is built around him, not shoe horned into a team that does not suit him. Most of the game bypasses him the way we play. I wouldn't blame the scouts on this one, Koeman wanted him desperately hence why we went way above market value.
  22. It depends, we may not get a work permit again next year, and Juventus will probably get one easily.
  23. I agree with this, but surely he would have expected us to put up more a fight. Both the recruitment and player selections/tactics need serious questions asked.
  24. Someone still dreaming? Everton, Chelsea and Napoli have all been put on high alert by the series of events, while PSG are conscious of the need to sell players to keep in line with Financial Fair Play guidelines. 25. definitely no long term solution, and will be never Koeman's type of player but he is unpredictable and knows the way to goal so can see him being thrown on for last 20 minutes of we need a goal.
