  1. Im talking about the derby games in general..not just coz this season its gonna be the 2nd game of the season. We Liverpool fans do like to rub noses in it over our sucesses, what fans wouldnt? Im sure Everton fans would do exactly the same thing if they were Englands most successful club as what any other set of fans would. No other team in this country has won what we have..so if thats not a gloating issue then i dont know what is? My point is that the derby game means more to the Evertons fans than any other aspect of the whole season. Forget good cup runs, forget were you finish in the table. As long as Liverpool are beaten by Everton then happiness will provail above everything else is the impression we have of Evertonians. I know you all couldnt care less what we think, but im just posting on the issue anyway.
  2. Goldfish: Every Evertonians ive spoken to has spoken of nothing but the derby's this season and the same expression is always used "We'll beat them this time, or "we'll get them this time" In the week before a derby game, ive known Evertonians to be on the verge of breakdown near enough as their nerves reach fever point with talk of "we're gonna tw*t the RS" and so on... With us Liverpool fans...the only thing that matters to us is when the next trophy will be won? Its always nice that we include 2 derby wins on the route to winning trophies (only kidding there Goldfish)
  3. The difference here is: With us and Man Utd - we are 2 very successful clubs who compete for the top trophies year after year. So thats why that game has added significance for us. With Everton: Its not as if they challenge us for trophy's on a yearly basis very often. So that game means nothing to us apart from the local pride factor. But with Everton fans..its as if winning a derby game is the be all and end all of their season.
  4. Rightly or wrongly..Liverpool fans are under the impression that Evertonians are more pre-occupied with looking forward to the derby games than anything else. Every Evertonian ive spoken to in recent weeks has given me the same response: "We'll get them this time" or "we'll do them this time" Its as if nothing else matters in football to Evertonians than the prospect of a derby victory.
  5. You can just guarantee that Bellamy will score the winners in the up & coming derby's
  6. Even as a football fan in general..ive never heard of him
  7. Soz i edited it to responde to your post above it. As your one of the mods..hope you can answer my query?
  8. I can see Johnson doing really well for your club this season, he may even score more than Bellamy i fear
  9. A win is a win no matter what formation is used
  10. May i ask an genuine question here from a Liverpool fans perspective towards Everton fans? I dont mean this to provoke or anything just simply as a genuine question. From the point of view of Evertonians, how has it been to see Liverpool win as many trophies as they have since 2001? I know alot have not been happy about it but if Everton had of won what Liverpool have since 2001 i can honestly say id be delighted for them.
  11. I have this vision of Bellamy,Fowler & Crouch being the 3 who do the damage in this seasons up and coming 2 derby's
  12. Even though it was only a pointless friendly against Wrexham...its already 1-0 to Bellamy if im not mistaken?
  13. I was in 2 minds as to whether it was "Johnson" or "Johnston" - looks like i chose the wrong one sorry Ive edited it now anyway...hope its right this time.
  14. Who do we think will finish next season with the most goals scored? Craig Bellamy for Liverpool or Andy Johnson for Everton. Both are good goal scorers in their own right. Naturally im obliged to say Bellamy were as most others on here would say Johnson of course. Only time will tell i guess?
  15. I like "You'll never walk alone" better
  16. I dont know the in's & out's of everything as im not an Everton supporter..but i would like to ask why it seems that David Moyes is disliked by alot of Evertonians? I read alot of the comments on here about him and most of them seem very negative against him The man gave your club its best season in goodness knows how long in 2004/05. Ok last season may not have been what you would have expected afterwards, but i cant help but feel that the man deserves more admiration and respect off Everton fans than what he seemingly gets. I'm only going by the impression i get from reading around here & if anyone wants to put me in my place or explain why properley then feel free
  17. Is it going to carry on being the case that Chelsea,Man Utd,Liverpool & Arsenal will be the clubs winning the trophies for years to come or will a club like Everton spring a suprise and win something again somewhere along the line?
  18. The fact that Dudek's car was found in Manchester is something the media seemed to have kept quiet over. If it was the other way round they would make a big fuss
  19. Do believe me here guys that i ask this question with the best of intentions and not to provoke an argument/slanging match or anything like that. When do you all think Everton are going to win anything ever again? Even though i support Liverpool, i can remember Everton winning the FA Cup back in 1995 and i was delighted for them for the simple reason that they are a Merseyside team (and that they beat Man URE) But its coming on 11/12 years now and there's been nothing since. I dont wish to rub it in by stating this but Liverpool have now won 9 different trophies since 2001 alone. Even though the Prem hasnt been won yet - 2 FA Cups,2 League cups,1 UEFA cup,1 European cup,2 Super cups and a Charity Shield is still a remarkable amount of trophies in a 5 year spell for any club. So even as the Liverpool fan i am - it would still be nice to see Everton win something again (and believe me there are not many Kopites that would say that)
  20. If that happens then i can see their being riots in that part of London sadly
  21. The situation with Liverpool was not wrong at all Reg and of course they should have been let back in if they won the darn thing. Im sure it would have been the right thing to do if it had of been Everton in that situation no doubt.
  22. There was no "special affinity" to Liverpool Goldfish..that just sounds like sour bitterness on your part. Its only right that whoever wins it regardless of were they finish that same season should be allowed to defend it. It wouldnt matter who the club was - Everton,Liverpool or anyone else for that matter - its right that you are allowed to defend such a title.
