  1. Luton really are a poor team, like I’ve said. Their defence is atrocious but their pace going the other way gives them a chance. 3-3 now.
  2. I blame Tom Lockyer and his dodgy heart for this by the way. Bournemouth were in great form at the time of the original game and it was 1-1. Thanks, Tom .
  3. It had been all Bournemouth by the sounds of it too. Can’t wait to play them in our next game at the end of the month, we’ll be brilliant at hitting them on the break too I’m sure…
  4. I don't know a single English person that eats pizza with a knife and fork, and it's not a trait I've ever heard is typical of us.
  5. It was bad enough reading the first page of this thread again. I don’t think I’d survive anything more than that.
  6. https://www.evertonfc.com/news/3930574/vaughan-becomes-evertons-head-of-academy-recruitment-player-pathways
  7. Agreed. He's more than on the wane and is still the most sensible option. Personally, I would tell Patterson he's got until the end of the season no matter what to show what he can do. That way he knows he's going to play every week for the next couple of months and he doesn't have to force things, or worry that a mistake will cost him his place to not be seen again for a while.
  8. To think, I've just read all that without popcorn. I should know by now to always have a bag on hand. To keep things topical though - I wouldn't be thinking about a change of manager until the end of next season at the earliest. Some of the names mentioned as possible successors are pie in the sky in my opinion (unless we do manage to look a more sane entity in the meantime and not a team treading water until we inevitably get relegated). And I'm not fussed on Potter whatsoever, I think he's overrated. Personally, I'd be looking towards young, hungry managers. Someone like McKenna at Ipswich closer to home and I'm sure there are plenty of candidates further afield in other countries that you'd hope the club will know about.
  9. I think he'll want to leave and I won't blame him, and the club will probably see it as a good move as well. I'd like him to still be here next season but I don't envisage it. It's not like Stones where we knew he wasn't going to be at Everton for a long time but we were in position to keep him for a few years first. The club is an absolute mess these days.
  10. I think that might even push me to cry at a football game.
  11. This is the league admitting that the current regulations are flawed and one of the main reasons they’re changing them is because the original regulations never allowed for inflation (if they had we’d have been fine). So I’m sure Super Silk is licking his lips at getting to put our case forward for the second charge.
  12. Aye, they could just do it to relegate us at the end of the season instead…
  13. I know. It’ll be a case of us and Forest getting done and that’s that. City and Chelsea get away with it.
  14. He's also not a winger. He has zero attributes of a winger. He's just a midfielder that plays out wide - a throwback you might say.
  15. It was a joke about getting him to teach our senior strikers how to score, not actually have him play for us. Never mind.
  16. I don't know about anyone else but I'm getting sick of seeing him doing that stupid jink on the tips of his toes as if he's going to go past his man (what does that mean I hear you ask! ) and then either just fall into the defender or pass it backwards. I was really pleased with his signing and thought it was a sensible move (and it still is to a certain extent because we didn't buy him) but I sincerely hope I don't see him playing for us next season.
  17. He should bring Cody Ebere up to give our senior attackers coaching sessions. 11 goals in his last 8 appearances, a hat-trick yesterday.
  18. I zeroed in on Simms (and Cannon) because they were the biggest sales of youngsters we made in the summer, and you said we'd sold the future of the club. Hence the question. I doubt Simms would have been given game time tbh. We've currently got Godfrey playing at RB ahead of a youngster despite him being even worse defensively than he is at attacking, despite supposedly being a defender by trade. I do understand giving a senior player a spot over a youngster (like Patterson) because you're concerned about mistakes costing us when we're battling for every point. However, that argument falls flat when that senior player is making mistakes and costing us points. It was the same with Young earlier in the season.
  19. Probably because Simms was mentioned in the article you posted.
