  1. He does look a character, I think the names mentioned have very characteristic traits. So based on these descriptions guess who :- "big teethy smile and plastic looking hair" "Huge bloke, was really good looking despite an injury to his head, had a beany on" "Australian, really friendly and went off on his own" "Really tall, red hair, very nice man" "Bald, big bloke, scouse accent even though he doesn't look English" It so happens when reina posed for a photo, one of the girls in front of him put her arms behind her back and accidentally cupped him... He laughed it off.
  2. Gutted my wife finished for mat leave 2 days before they came to visit, she's a senior staff nurse there. Wanted to her to get a picture with Roberto and the bump just so I can say in a few years "here you are just before being born with the greatest manager in the world" On a side note the club always do a fantastic job at Christmas, wife isn't in to football but the lift they give the kids is tremendous. She said the notable ones who have been very good over the years are Cahill - just goes round like a man on a mission. Moyes! - very polite. Lescott, arteta. And whilst im at it.... pepe reina was a class act.
  3. I hope he turns around and says "I'm not moving anywhere, why should I, nothing beats playing for Everton" - saying and doing it. For me the lad can become zidane esque...yep I've said it again. Come on, argue with me! Zidane was one of the greatest... I know that... That's where this lad can be, I said it a long time ago and I know he can.
  4. He's meant to be a bit nouty, I'm sure that will all stop.
  5. No going for total surprise, a happy healthy baby is all I want. Must admit I'm very much eager to know... You have all these "ah football, golf, scalectrix" then "dolls, being a daddies girl, football, golf" ha ha.
  6. Be quite good at them when he practices them... He just watched Baines apparently...
  7. Ravel Morrison, Jon jo shelvey, cleverley, a year ago all supposedly better footballers...
  8. Interesting point nikica made about fergie, corruption and cronies... I coukdnt agree more. That fella was as bent as a 9 bob note and was a manipulative git and a user. He had no real love for united, they were a tool for him to feed his ego. As for the aforementioned managers who were in his little gang, I really can't disagree. Them being chums with SAF was like paying the mafia for protection... Compliant lap dogs. Go on any united forum, they see Everton as a united feeder club. When we get top talent it is theirs to take and we get their rejects. The attitude is there regarding Barkley... "Let Everton keep him for another season to develop, we will give them £15m, cleverly and Anderson". Unfortunately this relationship between Moyes and Ferguson created this, no doubt about that (as fergie would say). Hopefully now the ties between united and Everton are irreparable. I certainly don't envisage Martinez getting driven to Moyes house on a "very" regular basis to get lashed up... The one thing that sums up SAF pure greed and self serving attitude is Rock of Gibraltar. You could argue that incident alone has saddled united with the glazers and saddled the club with debt. Roy Keane may be a bit of a cock but he wasn't wrong about SAF.
  9. Typical sky... Lets get the kid interviewed... Barkley wasn't motm. Some moments of class but a lot of iffy moments
  10. Effort levels were not up there to be honest. Touch was poor. Off day.
  11. Phew.... Far from convincing but vital 3 points.
  12. Lukaku has been awful today.
  13. Mirallas too fookin greedy.
  14. I have a niece who is season ticket holder, been a toffee lady, the lot... Boy or girl they are gonna be "chosen to be an Evertonian". A funny story I have sorry Romey... My cousins are all big reds, all 3 brothers. Their sisters lad was being bought Liverpool shirts the lot... Until he went to nursery, one of the girls who worked there indoctrinated the child - basically told him blue is the colour - Everton etc etc.. he is like a pariah on match days now... Pure bitter blue, how ace.
  15. Yeah was about to post the independent one. Haf film anology time... Anyone seen forest Gump??? Forest couldn't walk properly (Everton in 2004) ... He had these braces (Moyes) fitted to his legs to help them walk. Whilst he could walk he could never run and he was picked on by the college jocks (top 4), he couldn't escape them. He never realised that his legs were actually far better than when the braces had been put on... But he still had to walk restricted. One day it all changed (Martinez), the braces were ripped off, he outran the jocks, became a wide receiver and ran every day... If we still had Moyes we would still be walking but getting picked on by college jocks. Now we haven't we are representing all state in football. ...
  16. Question of sport, I loved that show and he was a great commentator. From a golden age.
  17. Good luck for Monday grandpa, just show him highlights of Bob the pole.... In fact best not.
  18. Cheers Steve. Girl or boy, blue is the colour.
  19. No, the style of football and attitude has been night and day difference. Not just the new players, Moyes old style defenders pass the ball, I've seen jags bring it out of defence the lot. It's a bit like playing fifa online and you are battering some opponent, they have a good team but are just shite at the game... Then they clearly hand over the controller to big brother and cone back and batter you. Martinez is that big brother.
  20. Stick to football and delivering milk Sylvain lad. From our average 11 you have Barry, McCarthy, lukaku, Deulofeu and in fairness Barkley (for all Moyes used him) - 55%-65% all in one window... I wouldn't say fine tuning either, I would say rebuilding the engine.
