I know there's been some conflict over the quality of the puns, but I wouldn't call it a war.

I didn't realize until reading this that the bulk of their money comes from payday loan companies. That is an industry that makes gambling companies look like the Red Cross. That, plus the allegations of fraud and racketeering and the insinuation that they are trying to finance their takeover, makes me hope this deal falls apart too. isn't the Taliban interested in a little sports washing? I've been seeing rumors of Saint Maximin leaving Newcastle for around 25M euros. I'd take him over any of the wings we've been linked with.

Just because there haven't been any delays doesn't mean there won't be, but if the construction, testing, and whatever else is finished and the stadium is 100% ready to host matches by January 2025, I just can't see waiting another 8 months to move in.

I think Tyler Adams would be a much better replacement for Gana. His stats were mostly better than McTominay's - especially for tackles, blocks, and interceptions, where he was one of the best in the league this year. In fact, he was top 5 in the league in tackles and top 10 in tackles+interceptions even though he missed the last 11 matches. Adams is also 2 years younger.

He doesn't really stand out in any way. He's not a great passer, he's not creative, he neither keeps possession nor wins possession particularly well. Of course he was Man of the Match against us, so let's get him in.

When Frank took over, we had 19 points from 20 matches and were in 16th, 4 points above Newcastle in 18th. We finished in 16th, 4 points above Burnley in 18th. We now have 15 points from 18 matches and are in 16th, 1 point above Forest in 18th. We were in trouble when he took over, needed a near-miracle to finish the season in the same place we were when he started, and we are in slightly worse position now. I know there are other problems with the club that are going to make it a difficult job, but we have not improved our results at all with Frank.

Been lurking here for a long time and will likely continue lurking most of the time, but occasionally I wish I could add an awful pun.
