RIP bally, I only ever seen him in action on videos/dvds, but his legend was well know to me, my dad told me tales of how he coverd every inch of grass every game week in week out. He was a part of possibly our greatest ever midfield in the 70's and will be missed.

Ian Turner has joined sheff wed on loan. Everton keeper Turner joins Owls Sheffield Wednesday have signed Everton goalkeeper Iain Turner on a month's loan from Everton. The 23-year-old goes straight into the Owls' squad to take on Southend on Saturday at Hillsborough. Wednesday manager Brian Laws told the club website: "He has played regularly for Scotland Under-21s and therefore comes to us with a degree of pedigree. "Mark Crossley has done well for us this season but his form has dipped over the last few weeks." Turner said: "I have been wanting to go out on loan and hopefully I will have a chance to impress. Brazilian midfielder Anderson da Silva will finally be able to start his Everton career in the next few weeks, according to chairman Bill Kenwright. Everton spent £700,000 in 2005 to sign Da Silva from Uruguayan side National Montevideo but could not play him as he does not have a EU passport. Da Silva has been loaned out to Spanish side Malaga but his passport problems have now been solved. Kenwright said: "There is a possibility he could join in the next few weeks." The arrival of Da Silva would be a boost for Everton boss David Moyes, who is keen to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window. Kenwright explained: "Anderson da Silva came over here to spend some time with us and impressed David. "We bought his federative and economic rights but could not secure his player registration because he did not have the correct passport. "He was supposed to have a passport by the January window and then by May. "By June we were getting fed up, not by the player but by the people around him promising the passport would be ready. "We believe he eventually got a passport as he has been able to play in Spain this season and we are talking to his agent at the moment."
