Decent enough buy cos we need something creative in the middle of the park, all we seem to be linked with is either defensive mids when we have about 8 of em already or 1 season wonders who cant get into boltons team. Appiah wud be ideal if we'r looking to play the diamond jags Appiah Mikel timmy has everything ya need. Flair, creativity, cutting edge and solid defensive cover. Nevilles always gonna play with being captain so i think any prospective team of ours that has him on the bench is wishful thinking, no matter how many aimless chipped balls he smacks down the line.

Benfica have made an offer for fabio rochemback to replace manny so thats another sign hes well on his way here. I like the way we'r gettin a 12m player for 5 years at 6m due to this fixed term contract thing. Yakubu wud be fantastic up front with aj, hes just such a brute but anything ove 10.5 wud be a little pricey Then i'd start looking at anelka possibly, 9m release clause and scores for fun when he wants.

I agree when you have chance to sign some1 of luchos quality u don't let is pass by even if the position isn't number one on the agenda. But when paying 11m for him, when u cud have manny for 8m seems slightly bewildering to me. In terms of our money available i'd definately go for bouazza, going for 4m can play on wing or up front and is better than aforementioned thomas, roberts etc..

Being able to fill in on the wing and actually being a winger are two different things, fadz is a striker, osman is an amc and vdm's jus a waster. Even pienaar played predominantly in the middle for Ajax, which leaves us with one wide player, granted he is fantastic but it still ain't enuff. thomas is a good player wud give us another option in middle of park. And for 2m you can't say no, even if he does only have pace and can cross

Wouldn't give a centre mid a free role, if he goes walk about it'l leave us short in the middle of the park. Out of the above formation cahills poisition is the one for a free role. I do think we'l start with that sort of 4-1-3-1-1 formation unless we get smith, with cahill starting jus off AJ like last year.

I'd take all of them without a second thought really. Vogel has a wealth of experience and would add depth, esepcially if cars goes as part of baines deal. Baines for 4m plus an ageing carsley is a quelity deal, defo comin out on top in that transfer. Braaten is a wide midfield player, plays mostly on the wing but if he don't come off then we could do with another wide man but with either pienaar and vdm to play with mikel we ain't in despearte need as i prefer mikel playin wide anyway. the 25k is thort to be the amount of compo we'd owe MLS for taking him as hes under 24. On the smith note, its not everyday we have the chance to buy some1 of his all round quality, He'd flourish in our team as he can drop off or hold the ball up enabling aj to peg it in behind. All good buys and wud love to see manuel back

Yeh why not add the extra mil and get him, if hes willing to go to city hes willing to go anywhere really inhe. Hes gonna be world class, i doubt baines will be. 6m is an awful lot for baines, still prefer to see quedrue for a fraction of that sum as he may not be as long term but is probably jus as good as baines if not better, in terms of figures is baines (6m vs 2m) 3 times better than franck? dont think so

Sounds like hes got a bit of an attitude problem but if he came thru in same french youth group as Nasri and the likes then must have some potential to unlock. Read before he'l sign a 12 month rolling contract much like Andersons so why not see what he can do as he'l be on minimal wages i imagine

Good move by moyes, might not get him for exactly 4.5 but Baines has jibbed sunderland off so its clear he wants to come to us. 6m is a lot of money, especially for a left back and when players like heinze are goin for around 6-7m you've gotta ask yourself is baines in that bracket also.

Sion are a swiss premier league side and Ligue 2 is basically the french championship so it aint as bad as he didnt cut it in swiss 2nd division... Am all for it if he impresses, young foreign talent with a bit of potential, all numbers aint it...
