15 million pounds this cost, Sporting was asking for 18 million. after the sale of Johnson surely there would have been some money to splash out, i just dont see why moyes didnt meet demands of sporting to get moutinho as apposed to this signing. none the less its a happy and welcomed signing

Just what we needed, only positive that can come out of this is that Moyes may step up his ambitions to sign another Midfielder, no real option but to make some form of signing.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with this, have a look at the squad we have at the moment. Skill wise nothing wrong with it but its so shallow. I am tempted to turn off my laptop and not check the sites anymore,its filling me with false hope and deffering myself away from the reality that we probs wont sign him. We need him now Fernandes is out of the picture, and truthfully its looking grim. Manny is equally my favourite player for Everton (assuming he signs) and it is obvious his skill and ability to play in the Premier League.. but we have Steven for 1 year on loan,, give him a run, he is an absolute gun, i still say we start him this week, and sit manny on the bench for a little bit. Leaave steve on and bring off osman for fernandes... formation can change to suit it,

I agree 100% that vic isnt ready to play, its been evident through his start to the season, he is gonna be good up forward, i stll think we should bring in Yak, look, he (assuming we wins the respect of teammates) will be able to teach him a thing or to,,, but i reckon we try and get a striker who is a little less "Mark Viduka" and more of a Benjanji Or Kanu for Portsmouth, one of those players, is Yakubu quick????

It’s a simple case of Moyes needing to recognise that it is a quality investment in putting the 12.5 into Yakubu, it is not that he has to choose between him and Manny. LOOK TO THE FUTURE, Anichibe and Yakubu, working together up front.. sounds pretty attractive to me, I think if Yak dosen’t work out, Moyes should seek out some of Mannys lads over in Portugal, there is a whole different level of skill there, plus they are young and come from what are pretty much feeder clubs, Arteta is so skillfull and Moyes should look for a young player who can potentially turn out like him

yak is essential, moyes has the cash, he NEEDS to spend this money, with anichibe still very young at a teenager, who would be a better mentor then a fellow Nigerian of Yak, sure Andy Johnson is an excellent striker (and stop bitching about how he hasnt scored yet) because he will very soon, Yak would just add another level which would be exciting for the future, can anyone officially say that the deal is off/ name alternatives besides Defoe and Love becuse they are not gonna happen, also can someone confirm the manny deal...

Chill out lads.. do you really think that Moyes will choose matt taylor over Fernandes, Moyes had a soft spot for manny so consider that one done.. sure he is taking his time to announce it, but it is just as good as done, Benefica left him out of there EURO matches.. and why is that?? So he can qualify with Everton. Moyes will sign Manny, and will only sign taylor as backup, 5 million is expensive, but he is a good midfielder….
