  1. One thing this game has shown me is how little I care about the derby these days. I was more interested in the F1 qualifiers than the derby. It means so little to me now. I didn't feel any disappointment about losing to the shite what so ever, but this result has destroyed me. I'm gutted lost for words even. All I can do is wish the other English clubs in UEFA the best of luck and hope that our league form takes a turn for the better.
  2. I'm stunned by the negative outlook by some of the fans here eg....I pray for a win and that is about as far as it goes. I will fucking flip if we concede any more oggies or have defensive cock ups against this lot. Seldom have I dever feared a derby. I do this one. Its 3 points on offer and with 30+ games to go that doesn't mean a great deal. It would be lovely for the fans to see their 1st home win of the season. What I would like to see is none of our players sent off. I don't care as much about 3 points at this early stage of the season. I'd be far more pleased to end the game with 11 players.
  3. I,m surprised this thread has been started by a red supporter, for a while now my red shite friends have been saying that the Merseyside Derby isn't an important match to them anymore. I guess this year is different, now they've got the stigma of not being able to beat Man U at home of their shoulders. So what do I hope for from this game, a first home win of the season will have been worth the wait if it comes agains't our neighbours. "Can we kick start our season this weekend?" I hope so because this is a very important week for the future of our club. Perhaps its apt we should start it with a blast of nostalgia.
  4. I think this is going to be a thrilling match fingers crossed we're on the winning team c.o.y.b
  5. >>>>>>>>.Did anyone else think Castillo wears his shorts very high waisted? <<<<<<<<<<< I thought so too, and with his sock tucked into his shin pads he looked like a boxer. His goal was a peach so he's excused for dressing like Simon Cowel.
  6. Quote from Fellaini....The £15m midfielder, who made his Everton début at Stoke, reckons his ex-teammates will raise their game in Europe, as they did against Liverpool. “Boloni knows how to motivate and he knows how to get players going for the big occasion," explained Fellaini. "He gets things going so the players do not fear anyone. They will not be worried about coming to Goodison Park and will fight to the last minute. “We will have to be on our guard to go through. I can’t play but I will be telling (the lads) to be very careful. They tried to spring a surprise against Liverpool and will want do the same against Everton.” .......Its vital we take a lead to Liege, but I hope the players don't feel too much pressure from the fans. Another great atmoshphere like Fiorentina with everyone right behind the team, I'm confident the boys can get the job done.
  7. (Quote)<<<Not a great performance, but a good enough result, we are in sore need of some width though. The quicker Pienaar gets back the better>>> Agree with you Jamie I can't wait for Stevie to get back fit. We don't have enough width without him and we miss his energy. I love watching him play he's a dynamo always lively and often inventive. To think we payed 2.5 or whatever it was for him is quite astounding, when you consider what he brings to the team. I'm sad too that we've conceeded so many goal already this season, considering what a mean defence we had last season. But I'm not too worried that can't be put right. I'm certain we won't be the only team to struggle with Stokes missile launcher Delap. As the offside rule doesn't apply to throw ins. When they play away from home I won't be shocked to see the hording place two inches from the pitch.
  8. I'd like to think we are fortunate to be playing Stoke after an international break. I'd imagine there are tougher fixtures we could have got after a two week gap between games. Stoke have got off to the best possible start. I dont expect us to recieve a friendly reception, but I think we've the strength & class enough within our side to nullify any threat they might pose. We certainly have enough attacking force to score agains't them.
  9. wizzard_wallce 55 -:but i reckon this guy is goin nowhere. ihope he'll come good but he seems lazy; I remember everyone saying how lazy the yak was twelve months ago. Moyes seems to get the best out of these so called lazy players. I'm not sure what method he uses to pep them up, "perhaps red-bull" tongue in cheek!. Does it matter? The fact is Moyes has this ability and as one of you already mentioned. You never really know how a signing will turn out. Sometimes the most appealing signings are complete flops and the most unlikely absolute gems.
  10. I think Moyes would like to go 442 anyway, but he needs the strength/quality in midfield to be able to do this and I'm not sure we have enough quality/balance at the moment to be able to play 442 anything like as effectively as 451. Moyes would also most likely want to loan out Jutkiewicz etc for some experience, whilst Vaughan is injury prone, Anichebe still raw and Baxter etc unproven. We need another class striker, I'm not sure whether this guy fits the bill but you can never have too much pace in your team. I'd still like us to sign someone like Zigic, someone with a bit of presence, a different option up front. well louis saha fits the bill. I'm hearing everywhere he's an Everton player. Got two players for the price of one SWP, I imagine we're paying less in wages to these two than citeh are to wright midget.
  11. I have a sinking feeling this deal will be just as difficult, if it comes to that. But then all tranfers seem to have run into problems not just at Everton.
  12. He was the first time we loaned him and will be again, but while efc ran around with their fingers stuck up their arses trying to sort out a deal he was sitting in the stands waiting to sign on, got fed up and fooked off on the next plane. As i have already said he had been here for 4 months but it took them till the last 2 days of the window to make their move, typical. I thought we did offer to buy him the 1st time he was on loan Licker. He opted for Champions League football at Valencia.
  13. i have found some goals he has scored take a lloook Goal 1 Goal 2 Goal 3 Goal 4 On the evidence of this he can score with his left foot, right foot and his head. Can't really ask for more. Shame he's 3rd party owned. Can see that being a problem somewhere down the line.
  14. hahaha doesnt matter at all. plus its chelsea's loss, not in terms of the player, but fuck they bought him for 21 million now they sell him for 8.5 three years later.. (although the difference of 12.5 million is probably like 5 bucks for them ) Man City can afford his £80 grand a week wages from that profit, I said he was all about the money why else would he have gone to Chelsea in the 1st place? All why didn't he not want to leave Chelsea? He didn't want to take a pay cut. I also said he wasn't worth 10 mil. I'd pay 7 max and pehaps 45 a week with a bonus for appearences. In my view thats as much as he's worth.
