The full back is clearly lining up a kick and rather than trying to block the kick he goes in for a very high tackle, almost head first. 
That is as pre-meditated as it comes and I know this having done a few like that myself! Some opportuties are just too good to miss 😂

His problem is he isn’t a very good defender. He is targeted as wingers know he is an easy touch to go around. 
Great asset when we have the ball going forward, but weak when we are defending.

We got beat thanks to the regular starters although not helped by going 5-5-0. The players looked all over the place after Rondon went off.
Maybe Coleman might have done better for the third goal but the first two are on Digne (although Keane should take some blame too for the first one, caught too far up the pitch and made to look like a training cone yet again).

He is a very average defender. His tackling is pretty poor, his reading of the game is very average and he doesn't have the athleticism to recover. He was the most dribbled past midfielder the other year for a reason!
He is certainly better on the ball than Doucoure but I think Allan is a far better decision maker and passer than he is given credit for. 
One of the biggest issues I have with Gomes is his decision making and the amount of time he dwells on the ball. I would be very concerned that if we had to play him for 10 games in that position due to injury etc, he would cause more problems than he solves. 
Just to add though for balance, I thought he did do really well against Burnley and to his credit he came on and did exactly what we needed. It isn't often in his more recent Everton career than you could say that about him.

People are acting like we're lucky to have him. We're a big club and should be aiming higher than a journey man who just wants to finally get a job closer to home. His biggest success was over 15 years ago and he's not lasted more than 2 seasons at any club other than Newcastle. 
So far we're 2 points down than we should be thanks to him picking Keane. 
We were lucky against Burnley. Could have easily been three down by half time. 

To be fair to Allardyce, I think he is anything but a footballing dinosaur. He is a massive cock, but I think he does a lot of analysis and last year his West Brom team played some great football.
His stint with us served up some shocking football, but that has been a common theme with a number of managers. I genuinely believe that had Allardyce been the managers name last season the fans would have been calling for Ancellotti to be sacked a hell of a lot earlier than they did.

Alladyce waited so fans like you wouldn't get on the players back. He took the grief rather than the player. That's good management. Alladyce also had him scoring goals. He had the player looking that well nearly every fan on here had him down to be our main striker over DCL the following season, you included.
Given your phenomenally bad record I think just about every poster on here knows more about football than you, nevermind a manager who has about 20 years experience in the prem.
