  1. Personally I like the kid and wouldnt want us to sell him, let him go on loan to a decent championship team which he will get games and goals in until january and look at the situation then. I wouldnt agree to a full season loan unless we have the option to recall as I dont think any of us see saha lasting a full season and also we dont know how long before the Yak is back to his old self.
  2. Krankjar - according to the mirror we are making a last ditch bid to hijack his deal to spurs, for once we are supposed to be offering MORE in wages than the other teams involved!!! Personally I think he will go to spurs though. I would love him here as he is class!! FINGERS CROSSED!
  3. Villa will sign him anyway!!! as per usual we have taken too long again!
  4. Bentley is a knobhead! Yes he can cross a ball but nothing else, he wont track back and help defending, workrate sucks, and off the pitch is supposed to be a disruptive influence (arsenal, blackburn, now spurs)
  5. Yep "watch this space" as another team comes along signs one of our targets because they go and pay what the players value is straight away with no haggling, then we have another link with someone else and so on and so on!!!! Sorry for the negative post but this summers transfer dealings (or lack of!) have taken their toll on me
  6. Not good enough for the prem???????? I agree he did go missing in games sometimes but he is defo good enough for the prem and defo good enough for us! Sounds like he is avail for peanuts aswell so its a bloody hell yeah from me!
  7. Technically a good player but only likes the game if its at a snails pace, would be a liability for us in the premiership and would not like the physical side of things either. To big a gamble for us, 31 / big wages / time to settle in!!!!!
  8. Tuncay is a class player and would be a great signing, however he would be at the top of our wage barrier and also we have to think where he would play for us. Middlesborough tried him on the wing but he didnt really cut it and when they moved him to the centre (his natural position) he was a lot better. I would sign him in a second simply because he can play anywhere across the top of the pitch however the shite across the park are also in for him and I think he would go to them over us simply for champs league football!! Fingers crossed!
  9. I hope your right mate and shearer doesnt stay, I really rate taylor and I think he would be great for us.
  10. I would prefer taylor/wheater ahead of huth aswell but I dont think taylor will leave the club he loves ( he will want to stay and get them promoted) and wheater is out of our price range!!! So I would sooner have huth than senderos/nobody.
  11. We dont have enough defensive midfielders, so a loan deal would suit us fine to boost the numbers. However I do definately agree with you about our defensive situation, we need at least one more otherwise we are really going to struggle when we lose yobo and what if jagielka doesnt recover as quickly as we hope???? PIP/RODWELL at center back?
  12. If we can get taylor for around £8-£10 mill I think that would be a great signing, and if we can also get in senderos for around £6mill then sell lescott for £20mill+ I would be a happy man as that is our CB's covered for the season and still have around £4mill left to get elm. IN Taylor Senderos Elm OUT Lescott To me that would be great business and knowing moyes he would turn all three of them into top premiership players, only issue I have is the timing of it all!! The lescott/senderos/elm transfers should have all been done by now.
  13. £6mill is a good price for him, he is a tidy young player with a decent amount of experience in the premiership. TBH i dont think we would have signed him anyway as I think he was always going to follow Steve Bruce as he turned his career around. Shame but lets just go and make sure we get a couple of our targets as im really starting to get worried about our lack of depth in the squad, god forbid a couple of our main players get injuries at the start of the season cos we could find ourselves off the pace for top 6 by december let alone top 4 challenge!!
  14. Totally agree with you mate in regards to getting those 3 and I think around £12mill would probably get them, TBH I'm not o'neils biggest fan but i would still sign him for £2-3mill as I think another player like him on the bench wont go a miss later on in the season when our usual injuries/suspensions kick in. So total outlay around £15mill(max) and we have 4 decent players adding to our numbers, then if he still wants to let lescott go in january and replace him then. Surely after another good season - 5th place finish, cup final etc we should have £15mill to spend?????......surely!! LOL
  15. If £3mill is the true price they are looking for then we should be snapping this lad up quickly!!!! Work permit is the main issue but other clubs seem to get around it so should we
  16. Hope they get upson so we can put all this lescott stuff to bed!! Fed up of reading about one of our best players possibly leaving and nothing concrete about us signing anyone good!
  17. Bare in mind youtube can make anyone look good!! No doubts he is great on the ball but ive seen him play quite a few times and trust me the guy goes missing in most of them, also if he was really is a top top player then he would have been snapped up by a big team by now. Dont want to sound to negative but in my eyes £15mill is a price tag that a top proven player over a number of seasons justifies ie moutinho £18mill / defour £16mill etc. If that is the true price being asked and we are serious about spending that on one player then I think many many better players around than him. Saying that at the moment I would take pretty much anyone as its painful watching players getting signed by other teams
  18. If the yanks at utd have any common sense then moyes would be a perfect fit to replace sir alex, personally I hope they dont and he stays with us for many a more season. However I think if we are all honest this is something we have seen for a long time coming as we all see how good moyes is as a top flight manager, and finally it seems the rest of the world are seeing the same thing! If it does happen in a couple more years then I would personally thank the ginger genius and wish him all the best at utd, the real problem for us is "who the hell could we bring in"??? I think if he keeps progressing then Irvine at preston would be great as he knows us inside out. I saw something earlier about darren ferguson at p'boro utd and I live in peterborough and watch the posh a lot, he has done great so far but I think he would need to improve a lot more to be good enough to fill moyes's boots especially in the tactics dept - he makes a lot of mistakes! But who knows in a couple of years???? Hopefully this isnt a dilemma mr kenwright will have for a very long time as this is the best everton team/squad i have seen in many a year and most of it is down to Mr Moyes COYB'S
  19. I am a big fan of saha and "when" fit he is a 15-20 goal a season striker!!! But at his age, injury record, and only 1 season left on contract I would snap the hands off an £8mill bid to be honest!
  20. Great post mate and i agree with you. I just wish we could find that bit extra we need to take us onto the next level, we have done aswell as we possibly can in the league in recent years and whether we like it or not its "money" that gets you into the top 4 and challenging for the title on a regular basis. What I have always found hard to believe is that we struggle to find that one "big invester", when you look at things we should be a great option to buy - massive fanbase, history, good current crop of players, not a stupid wage bill, and not a massive debt "in comparison to most others in premiership"!! In regards to this post topic - £22mill for lescott is crazy money and I would accept it in a shot "even though I do rate him and think he has been class for us", as long as we have 2-3 good players lined up that we buy quickly with the money and dont lose out on them! COYB's!
  21. I'm a big fan of lescott and apart from that one bad form blip he has been a top class cb for us, however at £22million I would definately sell him aswell (as long as we have a replacement lined up). Man city are the only club paying over the odds so we should make the most of it as no one else would pay that amount for him, I just really hope that our other targets (not just a cb) are in the bag and once we get the money from the sale we sign 3-4 straight away. My only worry is we sell - nothing lined up and then we end up paying over the odds for a player right on deadline day again, fingers crossed it doesnt happen like that!
  22. I agree - The lad looks top class! Immense on Football Manager aswell
  23. I dont want to lose out on our targets either but I agree with Moyes/Kenwright in the fact that they wont pay over the odds for players ie £18mill johnson, £8mill delph, £30mill alonso - I know they are not our targets but its the going rate for players right now. Would you really want to pay the reported £6mill asking price for senderos to a manager that doesnt want him, loaned him out, and only has 1 year remaining on contract???? I think we would all try and drive the price down to what we value him at if not then look elsewhere. As for elm the kid is taking his time to look at his options (his choice), however personally I'm not so sure I want a player who isnt sure on whether or not he wants to join us after looking at our facilities etc. A player playing in sweden should want to jump at the chance to join the 5th placed team in the english premiership, makes you think what he is thinking about - erm money maybe????
  24. "DECENT PLAYER" ?????? Mate he is a lot better than just decent! As for "his length could be a problem" - I dont know him that well :gay:
