  1. Tony Mowbray really seems to want him at Coventry: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/injuries-means-tony-mowbray-wait-9482093
  2. Unofficially, player of the year: the captain won the official version, so probably not acceptable for a loanee to win their main award: http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/57099-Coventry-City-Player-of-the-Season
  3. Coventry Telegraph Player of the month at Coventry City in his first month of loan there. Been playing RB, but last match played CB against Walsall for a 0-2 win. According to coventry fan reports he was excellent in that position. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/everton-loan-star-matthew-pennington-8411797
  4. I think you will find that there were two goalkeeping howlers, which caused the two against them. Not really a defender problem, I don't think.
  5. Not sure of the logic of this...is that because a chance at first team championship football would be a bad thing??
  6. Are you saying the first team don't need a good one?? :-) There's only so much room on the bench for rookies, is my point.
  7. oh dear. Both subbed at half time against Wales, at 4-0 down. :-( I thought Jasper didn't deserve that, perhaps one of the centre halfs should have gone instead.
  8. P'raps that's why nobody calls him that. He's 'JJ'. And he's very good. Bought from Port Vale last year as a 14yr old.
  9. Poor Ross Barkley. I heard he is expected to be out 8 months, which is a lifetime at this age. Hopefully he will be mentally strong enough to overcome this. Maybe Hallam Hope will get an earlier chance as a result. Sometimes there is a silver lining.
  10. Abe Donzo is back at Finch Farm now. He played a little in the U16's against City last weekend (lost 3-0, unfortunately). I believe he is overage for the U16s. He's not fully match fit at the moment, I would say. Still, maybe a good prospect if he can pick up his speed again.
  11. Hallam has been in action again for the U18's last week (25/7/09). He's now pretty much a regular for them. Then was on standby for England U17's but wasn't called up for the Norway tournament. Playing again for his usual age group (1994's) in the N.I. Milk Cup. Which Everton won again for the second year running. tb63
  12. Hallam played for the 18's last week. he's still 15. Scored one. 5-2 win against Middlesborough (I think - didn't see it - just heard he played) Apparently reported in the liverpool echo.
  13. you're right. not against Germany at all. Duff info.
  14. Hallam is the one who is standing out from the crowd in the born-in-1994 group at the moment, and has done for the last few years since he arrived at Everton, having been released (iirc) from Man City - where he was - choke - a centre half... ...nice to know other clubs misjudge young players best positions too :-) Of course from his U15's year group we already have Ross Barclay (captain? i think) and Jake Bidwell (scored) in England U16's action against Germany this last week, so I think with 3 hopefuls from the 16 or 17 strong U15's squad they aren't doing too bad...
