  1. Would have to be at the right price, although wouldn't mind him here either. Not sure if he'd play in the Carsley role though see him more of an outright centre midfield as not sure he'd have the discipline to play as a defensive midfielder although could be wrong.
  2. http://www.celtic.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=111783 Top scorer in the SPL with 31 goals, good finisher with a decent work rate - although i reckon we'd need to double the money to afford him 2 million is a bit cheap. Personally i wouldn't mind him here, seems to have the right attitude and as a backup striker he'd be great, although not sure whether he'd leave Celtic for a place on our bench. He'd be behind Yak, AJ and Timmy imo and with JV and Victor coming through as well as Baxter possibly coming through, i don't think upfront is an area that needs immediate strengthening. Saying that another Aussie in the team always helps to boost the profile of the club down under.
  3. Be a massive coup if we could pull this one off considering the teams following him although i'm not sure how good he is. Sounds like the shite will enter the race to sign him as well, so will be us, Man U, Arsenal and the shite - he's certainly got a massive decision ahead of him, only 17 as well. Was thinking of the possibility of us signing Joe Ledley to help him settle in as i know we've been linked with him too but again not sure if he's that good either. Be interesting to see how this one goes...
  4. Terrible refereeing but the boys really showed some passion in that game makes you proud to be a blue and then a million times more gutted considering the result. Thought Lescott was absolute class and Ossie really stood up even Yakubu put in a good shift. To be fair the Hibbo decision was 50/50 and Neville's was a definite red card but Kuyt should have walked and how Carragher managed to stay on the field is beyond me. Well i'm just really gutted.
  5. Watched Faddy's performance against Ukraine and couldn't believe it was the same player some of his link up play was superb and he was beating people, playing quick one two's and just looked class. When i've watched him for Everton unfortunately he never looks like the same confident player he does for Scotland. Maybe he needs a run in the team to get settled or maybe it is just that he needs people to adore him as they do in Scotland whatever it is i wish Moyes would figure it out because he'd be a great asset to the team if he'd played like that for us. Worst case scenario and he continues to not perform as well as he can, then we will surely make a tidy profit on him if he leaves.
  6. At the moment i'd pick Yak as we've just paid alot of money for him and he is a good player - motivated or not he is still a top finisher. However Anichebe for me is still decent and certainly has a presence around him but is only a last 20 mins player as he has been used recently, he seems to cause defences alot of problems. Motivation though should come from inside and not from external interests such as money, trophies, cars etc. although that is what seems to be the case at the moment. If Yakubu can't be motivated by playing for a massive club with the best fans then he really shouldn't be playing football however i don't really see this as the case as he has looked more like he is lacking fitness than motivation in the past few games. Anichebe just needs some time to develop and work at his game which means he will have to be content with warming the bench for some time to come. So for me definitly have the Yak although it will be interesting when TC and Jimmy Vaughn are back to see if him or AJ will make way for them.
  7. Scored against Supurs u-18 side been only hearing good things about this kid lets hope we hear alot more about him. Also seems like our 18's could produce a few good players on a 100 percent winning streak. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0400eve...-name_page.html
  8. Still not sure about Yakubu although it can only help already having Yobo in the team. Maybe he switched off because boro weren't playing good football and well from what ive seen from televised matches they never seem to reach capacity crowds either so was more than likely disillusion their. Licker is probably right though Eastwood might have been just as good as a goalscorer and went for cheap as well, although whether he could score in the premiership is debatable.
  9. Just have too wait and see now if its true, strange how quickly it was done though and the fact that it came out of the blue. Still don't understand why they'd pay 10 million for him when were paying only 6, also if manny has been training with us and living in merseyside for the past week, what is the point if he knew he was possibly going to valencia. Still alot more too come from this transfer.
  10. From Sydney, been too one of the EFC supporters nights was quality people travelled from Canberra too be there. Think there will be a website too soon which will be make the supporters club alot more official. Be good too meet up with fellow blues especially since we get every game live over here.
  11. I've got FM 07 on the psp is a quality game although not nearly as in depth as the one on computer and doesn't have 2D games on it and is also missing a few other features of the recent PC version. I'd reccomend it though as its still more addictive than nearly any other game although PES6 is pretty addictive as well. Might as well wait for the latest version too come out though in more than likely late October.
  12. Can't see us signing Riquelme, wouldn't be surprised if the Liverpool target mentioned on teletext was Edu Dracena i heard they were interested in him and we've also been linked. Looks like the deals for Piennar and Vogel are very likely would be good additions we still need a couple of left sided players though.
  13. N'Zogbia would be a great signing for anything under 4 million remember watching him a few seasons ago when he was scoring wonder goals and scaring teams with his pace, guess Duff coming to the barcodes hasn't exactly helped his career. At the moment Baines and a left midfielder would be my two top priorities if i was Moyes and maybe even look at bringing back Michael Ball on a free but only on a pay as you play contract to boost the numbers
  14. Just seen on the ever reliable tribalfootball website... that Torino are in contract talks with him, apparently his deal expires next month. Doubt he'd be on big wages and for a free transfer would be a great signing, doubt he'd make a decision until the asian cup is ended though.
  15. I rate Vinny Grella highly, better than Carsley in that role and can play some good football. Is the unsung hero of the Australian squad and would be a great signing although i think alot of clubs would be alerted to him if he's available - especially if he has a good Asian cup.
