  1. Unless we receive the worlds most incredibly over inflated offer DO NOT SELL HIM.
  2. Great performance, the defence and midfield were rock solid, Micky and Branthwaite were immense. Doucs had his 50p boots on, but had good energy. Just wish Dyche would make subs earlier, and more often. Reminded me of the Moyses era when we would be shouting for him to make subs. On to the next match and hopefully a win against Burnley and more momentum, and then 3 points against Brighton. COYB!!
  3. It's things like this that Bill should also be remembered for.
  4. I don't think so, I certainly hope not. This is a chance to draw a line in the sand. Bill has passed away, the club is in the process of being sold, the old board has gone. So what's the point in protesting, all the people who were to blame have either gone or are going. This is a chance to say goodbye to a fellow Blue, to remember the good times, to show class. In my opinion it would be in incredibly bad taste to do anything than give him a good send off, it would also damage the fans reputation in the eyes of the world, and further divide the club. This is a chance to bring the club together.
  5. I know we will give him a proper send off at Goodison, a week on Wednesday. Remember the good times and what he did for us. Wish I could be there, the atmosphere will be amazing.
  6. RIP Bill, thoughts and prayers with family and friends. You loved the club and although the fans lost faith in you towards the end, you will always be a "Blue" Rest easy.
  7. Just read this looking forward to listening to it.
  8. True and I agree, i just think the sanction should be more proportionate. Most clubs have a fining or additional work punishment for being late. If its consistent being late then yep short sharp shock is fine. Just don't know what else has gone on. He seems like a good lad so let's hope whatever it is is sorted. Don't want it ending up like Sancho at utd.
  9. I agree it's a useful tool to be able to leave a player out due to attitude, like not playing the team game, tracking back etc. Or not doing whats been asked of them. Dropping due to to poor form is normal and gives a player a moment of pause a chance to assess and re-focus. But dropping a player for being late to training is something that should be sorted out during the week. Dropping a player for discipline reasons should be for more serious reasons imo.
  10. An interesting question, hope you don't mind me jumping in. Dropping a player should be tone of the last sanctions you employ as a manager. In the vast majority of cases these things should be sorted out during the week, its a key part of managing people. Dropping a player for anything other than form can hurt the team, and seriously damage the relationship between the player and the manager. It also depends on if the squad see it as fair. Its a hard job.
  11. Or 50k a week for 5 years, and we can sell him for a considerable amount if he wants to leave. Or have a young quality player tied down to a long term deal along with the other quality young players we have.
  12. Whatever it takes, get him signed to a long term deal. He will hopefully be part of our team for a very long time, or raise a very large amount of money for us. But with Just 2 years left on his contract we will achieve neither.
  13. Pretty much everyone had a good game. The midfield looked solid, even with Garner notionally as a wide midfielder. I do not know how we keep all the midfield players we have and play Gerner inside where I am sure he will be great for us. Defence was solid and Tarks and Branthwaite look to be developing a solid partnership, Micky was good, and Beto loos a threat. Garner and Branthwaite were my joint men of the match, but could have been almost anyone, which is very pleasing to say!!
  14. We are still bound by FFP so no more than before.
  15. The sad The truth is if Bill was willing to sell his shares and just be a figure head then we would probably attract a much better buyer. But because of his intransigent nature we are stuck with a load of dodgy wide boys who will just fuck us over for a quick buck.
  16. Lovely guy, great first season, wish him all the best for the future.
  17. Some much needed clarity, hope they improve us just not sure.
  18. Best case scenario this flushes out another byer. 2nd best that they keep us until we are in the new stadium, still in the premier league and sell us at a profit. Worst case scenario to horrible to think about.
