Looking at the beginning of the thread, I'm shocked how many of the predictions were near the truth.
  2. How do you say his name? I've heard a lot of talk about how to say the Argentine's name, but this one isn't obvious to me either. DRENTH? DREN-thuh? Dutch people always seem to tell me that most Dutch footballers' names are mispronounced by English speakers.
  3. Sincere welcome Andrew. Brighton was my favorite place I visited when I went to England a couple years ago from the US. One thing though--you truly love the new goal keeper kit ?
  4. Would have loved to see the kid put that one away. Brilliant timing on the run.
  5. Gueye has taken a few decent touches.
  6. Agreed. Despite it being preseason vs the MLS, he looks fantastic.
  7. Highly intrigued by Barkley.
  8. Anyone know if/where this will be televised in the states?
  9. Don't let me hope they'll get a legitimate young player.
  10. Not terribly young, but has been quite solid in the world cup performances I've seen.
  11. Playing very well in the world cup. Naturally Spurs will get him.
  12. Confessions of Felix Krull, Confidence Man by Thomas Mann
  13. Isn't he in fact leading the side in assists? How bad can he be? It's his first season coming from the Russian league.
  14. Had to give it to Distin. During the pressure moments of the second half, it had to be the best the defense has held up in a while. Looking quite confident overall.
  15. Voted for Osman, but I loved Heitinga. Especially a few times when he patted Rooney's head after shutting him down. Hilarious stuff.

    Glory Glory Man United!
  17. Tremendous game. Heitinga, Donovan, Cahill, Osman, Baines, Saha all excellent performances.
  18. Seul un peu. Je planifie un voyage a France cet ete. Ou doit-on aller en France? Je veux voire Nice, Toulouse, et Bretagne. Que pensez-vous?
  19. It's remarkable, especially considering how well the whole team played.
  20. It certainly has something to offer.
  21. Just finished The Worst Hard Time by Timothy Egan. Just started The Big Blowdown by George Pelecanos.
  22. Pleasantly surprised. Good positioning down the right. Excellent pace. The corner. My only complaint is that he made a couple really good cuts that he could have down something better with had he acted quicker. But for his first EPL performance it was definitely satisfying.
  23. Perhaps this is a foolish question, but where did Windows 4, 5, and 6 go? I remember Windows 3 in the early 90s. Then there was the 95 series, NT, XP, Vista, . . . ? Are three of those the 4, 5, or 6, or is the name 7 just unrelated?
