Quiz Question
Lowton_Toffee replied to Lowton_Toffee's topic in General Football and Sport Discussion
Great shout!!! It's been racking my brains all day as well! I'll text me mate and hopefully he's the one he's got in mind! Cheers mate! -
Anybody? Player who has won:- English Prem Scottish Prem FA Cup Champions League AND is still playing today? Doing my head in!
-
To be honest, I didnt mind Benitez before this season but he's really changed this year to a manger full of excuses and sulks. His attitide towards other teams this year in my opinion has shown nothing but a lack of respect. This is what he said. And Keith Wyness has replied with, Exactly. Comments like that can kick start whats happened in Italy this weekend. He want s to start thinking before he opens his mouth.

I still dont understand why people want Moyes to go. This season we are extremely likely to have a top half finish. We are now consistantly getting to be a top half team. 5 or 6 years ago we were consistantly a bottom half team. And he didnt do half bad in the Goodison derby this season did he.

Just Seen This - Transfer Window Spec
Lowton_Toffee replied to john_webby's topic in Rumourama - Everton Transfer Rumours
How many times can you contradict yourself in one post!!! And where's all that money coming from? The ray of light you've posted though is twice you've said Davies and Beattie will be on their way out. I don't think you'll get many arguements here but we need to replace them with someone otherwise we'll have a think squad for the run in. Didnt Moyesy say about 3 weeks ago he didn't foresee any transfer action at all!? -
Who got Sky man of the match? I had Lescott, thought he was immense at the back.

Former Blue Gets National Call Up.
Lowton_Toffee replied to Louis's topic in General Everton Discussion
Well done to him. I only know the name from playing Champ Man! Just because he's got a call up for Wales though, doesn't mean he's a Premiership player, he plays for Wrexham FFS! -
Im just glad that the advert is still in date! (ie Tim is still in an Everton shirt!!)
-
Thought it was just me that cant stand the man, glad its other people too!

Celtic's been mentioned a few times, actually think it would be a waste of his talent going up there, but he'll look at league and cup winners medals and champions league football. Would we want him back? We've got VDM, Cahill, Ateta, Neville, Kilbane, Osman, Davies, Carsley all fighting for 4 spaces? http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/...l&TEAMHD=soccer

I hope he gets Howard, Yobo, Beats and AJ in the team. I think they're going to be so important to us this season and the more they play together the better. I actually think Tim Howard will be one of the signings of the season made by any club.
-
Doesnt say who, but Ive always been a fan of Jimmy's. Wouldnt mind him having 12 months here as a bench player. He scores goals whereever he goes, and if AJ or Beats picks up a knock we've got someone capable to fill in. We've not had strength in depth up front for years, nows our chance!

Good Players Signed - Over Priced?
Lowton_Toffee replied to toolio's topic in General Everton Discussion
Thats what you have to pay these days - simple as. I dont think Johnson's over priced. He's only 25 and an International fringe player, not bad if you ask me, as its just been posted, there isn't any better out there at that price. If Johnson scores 20 goals next season in the Premier League and puts in a transfer request, he'd go for 12-13 million. Lescott has played Under 21's as well, 2 potentially great English players. -
Everton Bid For Lescott Accepted
Lowton_Toffee replied to Heather_6's topic in General Everton Discussion
Along side Yobo!? Surely we'll leave these two on the bench and play Weir and Stubbs all season!? -
Graham Sharp said on the radio a week or so ago we get more money if United win the league? Typical that it comes the time when Chelsea are going to walk it for the next 10 years!!!

Central Defender On His Way For £4m
Lowton_Toffee replied to Lowton_Toffee's topic in General Everton Discussion
Your right, that is impressive stas for a young lad. Really looking forward to next season, I know Moyes has had the occasion wobble in the transfer market but you can't knock the 3 players he's brought in so far. And the other bonus is that we are beating other clubs to their signature. I just hope we dont lose big players like AJ, Beats, Mikkey and VDM to injury. If we stay fit we're going to play some good stuff next season. -
http://www.sportinglife.com/story_get.cgi?...ual_095834.html Only 23, maybe thats why its £4M, we certainly need to bring the average age of the centre backs down though dont we!! Is this our other 'big name' signing?

What Strikers Will Go To Germany?
Lowton_Toffee replied to kolon's topic in General Everton Discussion
Course we know! Rooney Owen, Crouch Defoe and if he takes 5, Darren Bent. As much as we want and think Beatts deserves it, I just can't see him getting picked. -
Stubbs Returns As Everton Let Kroldrup Go
Lowton_Toffee replied to Pat's topic in General Everton Discussion
To me we've signed a defender for £5 million without either wanting him, or scouting him properly, because if he was that good, we'd want to keep him. Unless theres more to this (ie long term injury problem). Seems crazy, it seemed we had a good partner for Joey with more than capable cover from Ferrari, but bringing back Stubbs for me is not looking anymore forward than May. -
We Just Got 2.5 Million For Bent Hahaha!
Lowton_Toffee replied to djlduffy's topic in General Everton Discussion
Cant believe we're getting 2.5M for Benty, we should be snatching their hands off. He's done a job, but he was never going to be the player Everton needs up front. I really hope this can bank roll a bid for Dean Ashton. He will score goals where ever he goes. -
Sky Sports News say he's targetted the derby to be fit. Hopefully he'll be back to dazzle the RS!
-
For Celtic. Oh well!
