  1. That's not a good sign for potential penalties *gulps*
  2. Look at the number of teams who've spent similar or less who are now languishing in championship/league 1 even league 2.To suggest he has taken us as far as he can on his budget is pathetic, the fact that he has taken us to a consistent top half finish is a miracle! if you really think we should sack Moyes and bring in another manager who will win us the league with no money then you are abviously a moron whose only experience of football is computer games or Roy of the Rovers. This whole thread should be deleted it's absolutely ridiculous!! .
  3. Here is his actual quote from fb!! Landon Donovan Wow. I didn't think anything could top the atmosphere from last week's win against Chelsea but I don't think I've ever been in a louder stadium than yesterday. Thank you all for another incredible memory...I am so proud to play for this club. Have a great Sunday!
  4. That episode sealed the vote for me but credit to Johnny and Distin for not giving Roo a sniff all game. Fantastic result, gettin hammered tonight
  5. Gave it to Johnny above Landon but not too many contenders! Very very disappointed with second half display, we never replaced Felly to be honest and Arteta wasn't the answer. Not blaming Moyes for this, hindsight is a beautiful thing. No complaints about the shite other than that cunt gettin pienaar sent off at the end, (the prick ref was looking for an excuse after his first half mistake)! Need to win a derby soon cos there might not be many more when them cunts go into administration(here's hopin)!
  6. Don't really wanna get involved in this but wanted to make one comment, I saw an interview with BK where he talked about sacking Walter and WS asked him if he had anyone in mind. BK apparently mentioned Moyse and WS said "you can do much worse". So on that basis, WS only seconded BK's views. Not sure how true that is but it is literally from the horses (BK's) mouth (albeit after the event). We've all knocked BK in the past, mainly because he hasn't had the funds to match the so called big 4 but admittedly he has done us proud in not selling us out, whether his reasons for not doing so were honourable or not (some suggest he just didn't want to sell but I dunno)! He's proud to be a Blue as are the rest of us so on the eve of the Derby, let's stop all the fussin and the feudin and get behind the team and pray for a win tomorra COYB FTRS!!!!
  7. Latest Facebook update for those interested! Landon Donovan Good evening! I've spent most of the day sleeping...I was exhausted after yesterday's game. The field at Wigan isn't in the best shape and it was really heavy on our legs. That was a really important win for us, thanks to a great goal by Tim. I've been hearing all about the derby since the day I arrived so I'm really excited for Saturday! Goodnight and thanks for all the love.
  8. I can't even care any more, as I've said before, in the words of Fergal Sharkey "There's no hard feelings, there's no feelings at all"
  9. Came on to post but you've beaten me to everything Dunc. Agree 100% with all your comments. Very disappointed tonight but roll on Wednesday and hopefully get it out of our system with a resounding win. COYB!!
  10. If anyone is on facebook you can join him as a fan (not a friend) and see his regular updates which are cool, below are his latest two:(sorry if anyone has already posted this, I couldn't bothered trawling through 4 pages) Landon Donovan 17/1/2010 Good evening from a slightly warmer England! I've spent the day resting and recovering from an incredible game last night. That was in the top 5 of the most memorable games in my career. Thank you so much to all the Everton fans for making me feel right at home! It's been nice to enjoy the victory today but tomorrow we start preparing for Birmingham in the FA Cup. Goodnight Landon Donovan 21/1/10 Just watched American Idol, what a great show! I wish I could watch it live but I'm ok with waiting for a few days as long as it keeps entertaining me this way!!! Birmingham City on Saturday, can't wait!
  11. I heard Paul Merson on Soccer Saturday saying a few weeks ago that he isn't good enough for the Prem and needs several chances to score (Andy Cole). I had no opinion of my own as I'd never seen him play. However, I have a mate in work who is a Carlisle fan (as I think I mentioned before we played them in the cup) and I went with him to Leeds on Tuesday for the Johnstones Paint Northern Final First Leg. Unfortunately I have to report, albeit on a single performance, that Merson is correct. Beckford was one on one with the keeper FOUR times and fluffed them all as well as having at least another two very good chances to score without any success. His touch is poor and he went down in front of us on one occasion clutching his face when he wasn't touched (not something I like to see). As I said, this is based on one performance and we all have a bad day but I really didn't see anything to impress me. He certainly wont get 4 or 5 chances per game in the Prem so would have to be far more clinical to succeed here. I'm always ready to change my opinion or admit I'm wrong if it cmes to it but I wouldn't be getting too excited.
  12. Where the hell in the Park End are you Dunc? My pie/sausage roll is never cold, in fact it is ALWAYS welded to the foil (pie only) With regards to shared ground, I sit close enough to the away fans to have been hit by or narrowly avoided a barrage of coins thrown by the scum (and ONLY them) for the last 3 seasons so would hate to think what they would leave behind from the previous week. For that reason, it's a NO!
