  1. love what we are getting out of the lad so far, hopefully its a sign of things to come. has loads of tricks and the confidence to pull it off, watching him, theo, tosun and gylfi interplay yesterday we looked a complete different side to 2017. have a feeling that the rest of the league may start to moan about him hitting the deck and staying down a little too much soon....
  2. I'm actually on the other end, if Lookman can go somewhere and play at a decent level in a decent team and play 90% of games he will develop better than sitting on our bench playing 15mins every other week.
  3. Was very worried when he came on. Would have preferred Holgate come on tbh. Did a reasonable job. The way we were set up, that right side will be exposed against more quality teams until Coleman is back.
  4. Last time he was out here, was what, 2009? With a pretty average Blackburn outfit. Looks like the big target man type Ronnie likes. 27-28, in the prime of his career. the 1-in-3 stats aren't phenomenal but could be worse. If we get him up over 15 goals and he fits the system the 25m price tag isn't too bad.
  5. Yup. As nice as it would be to add his class to the squad, its time to crap or get off the pot. Understand the message the board is sending but either sign him or move on to the next target.
  6. Would rather Sturridge if we were looking for a striker made of glass.
  7. Yup. Hopefully stimulates us into speeding up a move..
  8. F*** right off. Not even if he offered to play for free...
  9. Would give us great depth in the midfield which is what we need, for so long we have had two good mids and then its fallen away really quick. Good solid depth is needed if we want to challenge top 4 and push on in FA cup and Europa. Then again could be just another Everton has money, lets link them with 'X'
  10. If we managed to get him for just over 50m, it would be a great deal. Especially conidering the 50m we got from City for Stones last year, its a small fee from us for an upgrade... Spending would be worth it too, just to see the faces on Liverpool fans...
  11. I think its a good move mainly for off the pitch reasons. No one will be expecting Rooney to play/start all 38 games plus Europa and other cups. He will be important in those games we drop to lower teams in terms of driving focus and that 'winning mentality'. Like him or not he is a winner, being at United for as long as he has (despite the last few years) has ingrained a winning mentality in him and he will demand that off the younger lads. Off the pitch, signing Rooney makes us much more commercially relevant. Everton isn't seen around the world as a big club or a relevant club, we are just one of the clubs that makes up the premier league and is fairly solid. This changes that some what with our name now in the news a little bit more all because of one player. That kind of exposure is huge and costs a shitload to get instantly or a long time to grow organically.. So while his wages are more than a player of his current ability is worth, think of at least half that contract as a marketing cost.
