  1. THE QUESTION: Should we sell lescott. The Answer: After the last 6 games no. Have been amazing since going back to center half. Maybe a more appropiate question is SHOULD WE SELL YOBO? In my oppinion definatly not. We need all players but we should keep the same team and partenership in center defence until form changes, suspensions or injuries. Sorry joey you will have to wait your turn mate:-)
  2. Thank you fellow blues. Just Happened to be reading at the time i saw on sky sports! Why don't we do one about the first person to post second signing?!!
  3. Football FanCast columnist Will Johnson feels that the Premier League is getting back to its competitive best and can see a breach of the top4 next season. If there is one thing that I love about pre-season then it is the air of optimism that surrounds the football supporter. New signings and strips bring renewed vigour among everyone, past failings seem something of a distant memory and you renew your season tickets in the hope that finally fortunes are about to change. It is the same no matter what league you play in and that is one of the great beauties of football that it always comes round again. I'm personally just a lover of football and have no affiliation with any team, but I firmly believe that we are in for one of the best Premier League seasons we have seen in years. I don't buy into the scaremongers who say that England's elite have turned it into a glorified SPL as last season proved that the Premiership was back to its competitive best, not only in the title race, but the battle for European football. Why I understand the reason of the SPL comparison, to suggest that the gap between the top4 and the rest cannot be breached is completely short sighted. I look down the League table and for me there are three teams that should consider themselves a great outside bet to break into the top4 in Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa; clubs very much in the ascendency and all have the capabilities. I think it is great for football that three of English football's great bastions have found their way back among the Premier League elite. I appreciate that Spurs League campaign was poor last season, but the Carling Cup success shows the team can be competitive and with the acquisition of Gomes, Dos Santos and Modric shows that under Juande Ramos they mean business. Everton once again proved to be great competitors last season and you do feel with a bit more good fortune, with injuries and refereeing decisions, should have been playing Champions League football next season; while Martin O'Neill has performed minor miracles in two seasons at Villa Park and with one or two inspired acquisitions will certainly be in the mix next season. So how do the respective club fans feel about their chances and am, I wrong to believe that one of your teams could break into the top4? Which one of the three has the best chance to bridge the gap? Or is next season premature for either side to make the step up?
  4. Bonus if true. Hopefully if we get a loan deal to get a clause in it so we can buy him at end of season... 10 mill sounds about right??
  5. Manny was told He was and still is i believe owned by an third party so to say he chose to fuck us off is off the mark. Great player to have we could have done with him last night!!
  6. I know we could have played lescott and the yak and Howard but surely this was the best oppertunity to give these payers a game. Surely Vaughan up front will be a likely replacement for yaks when he is away? So he is going to have to be sharpe for when he is needed. Also it takes lescott or jags to get injured and we will need to call on stubbs so i can se Moyes' thinking behind playing stubbs. Maybe we could have been stronger but in this day and age it is more and more about the squad. As i see it this was thew perfect oppertunity to give these players a game and match practice. It really boils down to the fact the team Moyes put out should have been by far good enough to beat Oldham. But that is the MAGIC OF THE FA CUP!!! Anyone agree Wessels should have saved the shot that they scored with?
  7. I know what your sayin dunc it was not the best against Oldham. But maybe we could use it to our advantage being the underdogs. I may be clutching at straws but I'm sure we can give them a game even with a couple of important players missing. ( Peanuts, Arteta, Osman !!)
  8. Stevie P wont be playing on Tuesday as the South African FA have refused him permission. Think thats us out then! . Although i think stevie is very important to our squad but i think we have enough quality in the squad to get a result at the bridge and give us a chance in the second leg. I know it won't be easy and chelski are a quality side but this is the cup and we all know what can happen. Hopefully the players understand what it means to us fans they will go out and do us proud. Maybe i'm being too optomistic but i think we can get a draw and give us a grat chance in the second leg.
  9. 33 Wessels 02 Hibbert 15 Stubbs 16 Jagielka 03 Baines 20 Pienaar 10 Gravesen 26 Carsley 11 McFadden 08 Johnson 14 Vaughan I really don't think we were under strength I would expect this side to give most prem teams a game. I'm gutted at the result but it seam always to happen in the fa cup and looks like it always will. I think Wessels should have done better for the goal and IMO we don't concede on the stroke of half time they dont go in with there tails up. We threw everyting at them but to be fair Oldham stood up to the challenge and rode there luck but that what usually happens when these lower teams beat higher opposition. I know you could argue that maybe Yak could have started and lescott but we will be without Yak soon and Yobo so i could see Moyes thinking in giving Stubbs and Vaughny a game, they have got to get games under their belt just in case of injuries so they can come to the fort in the prem and be match sharpe. unfortunatly it did not work out yesterday but i will stick by team selection and just put it down to a bad day at the office, and hopefully give the lads a kick up the arse for these very important games coming!!
  10. IMO i think jags was not all at fault for the Arsenal game. I think if we did not concede so early in the first half we would have gone on to take all 3 points. Jags should not really have mis judged the header but at the same time as a center half Yobo should have been a couple of yards behind. From what i've seen Jags can do a really good job at center half for us but after watching him earlier on in the season i don't think he can cut it in the midfield.
  11. from what i've read Gosling is a very hot prospect for hopefully next season, and years to come. It looks like Moyes has got there early as a couple of clubs were looking at him. I would like to see a couple of signings but i also think we have cover for all 3 players on African nations in the squad we have already got.
  12. can any one post link to the game please!!!! cheers
  13. has anyone got a link to the challenge please....
  14. did not want bell end.. I think he is not a team player and would be bad for the dressing room... Not been hugely consistent and is not a prolific goal scorer... Bellamy sent the one of the best ( if not THE) Shearer derogetory text messages and shown no respect... also went to celtic introduced himself and told all the players he was having a team BBQ and they were all invited and said to his team mates " I know your not on as much money as me so i will pay for all the food and beer"... I'm Welsh and hate the arrogant little pr1ck... on the other hand Johnson virtually gives up his world cup place to help his team with promotion from the championship..... Speaks Volumes really!!! I'm sure after MOyes met bellamy he realised he was not right for the club.... Hes a big head and got a massive chip on his shoulder... did you see him come off against Chelsea??? he done fook all for 70 mins and still had the cheek to moan as he was coming off the field... wank3r....
