  5. Totally agree, I think we have been very fortunate to pick up the majority of points we have this season. I've been a season ticket holder for 10 years now and this is one of the worst seasons I have seen. Sure, we have had worse teams but the lack of effort and heart shown this year has been very worrying. Tactics have been questionable to say the least. Substitions have occured too late (not that this is anything new under Moyes) Players have looked slow/unfit/shadow of their former performances - fellani/yakubu/artera/cahill/lescott etc... Expensive 'replacements' have confused me: A) The manager admitted that he does not see him as a replacement to Cars...more of a cahill (15 million for a player who does the same job as a player who has performed this duty brilliantly for years now???????) The player looks too slow, gives away countless amount of fouls, does not read the game well. OK he shows a couple of good touches and has got a few goals but he nearly missed one of them (Bolton) and in the games he scored in, wasnt brilliant anyway. I hope Fellani proves me wrong I really do but for me the Jury is still out on him, I havnt seen him break a sweat yet. As for the other 'additions' they again have been questionable. 'Papering Over The Cracks' sums this up brilliantly. For 15 million and a couple of smart loan moves would have been better than Panick Buying at the latter stages of the window. Moyes seems to have lost the thing that made him one of the most promising managers in the Prem..his eye for a bargain and getting the team to play as a team. Please dont think I'm a doom merchant (I know it appears that way ). I like Moyes and believe he has done an excellent job at the club but the board/players and himself have to take a good long look at themselves and fight for the club we hold so dear in our hearts. 8. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11994_2705370,00.html Most Crosses Mikel Arteta (Everton) 152 Creators Team Assists Key Passes Arteta Everton 5 41 ................. I havnt been on this for a while so forgive me if this has already been discussed. It would be interesting to see how many of the 152 crosses were sucessful.... I am one of Mikky's biggest fans but for the last season and a half he just hasnt looked the same player. Last season it was understood due to his injury that he played through but this year is there an excuse for the amount of wasted corners/freekicks/chances to get the ball into the box? O.K, he set up the equaliser on Sunday but I lost count of the amount of times he sent the ball to short or tried to take on a man he had already beat then pass it backwards anyway. Its not the first game hes done this aswell. All season (and most of last) his corners have failed to beat the first man. The first time he got the ball into the mixer from a corner in the second half it caused all sorts of problems. His deliveries in his first couple of seasons were first rate. He corners always caused problems and he was not afraid to take on the full back and whip in a superb cross. Is Moyes instructing him to deliver the ball short? Is he stil struggling for an injury? His positional play on Sunday was pretty shocking as well but that could be Moyes' tactics; if it was he needs to change them as we played most of the match with four central midfielders...shocking. ......... Like I said before, I really like Arteta, its just baffling that the best little spaniard we know has turned into a very mediocre player at the minute. I know he could do with more support from the rest of the midfield, better movement from the strikers but he played with alot worse than the team that was played on sunday and has stole the show...COME BACK MIKKY!!
  9. Im not the biggest Bloc Party fan but they were brilliant when I seen them at the leeds festival.
  10. Its all good him saying this.... but he didnt do it in the end so I'm not sure why it has gained so much publicity.
  11. Thankyou everyone , especially you Mike
  12. Your in no position to mock Mike, with your odd and messy number of posts. What sort of a number is 6,738 compared to a nice even 5,000!
  13. That was poor. Bad performance today for many players. Neville shouldnt not be on the pitch, never mind having the honour of being captain of our great club. He cannot pass the ball to save his life and not once did he look comfortable when in posession. He will never be deserve a place in the starting line up so why on earth have they gave him another few years onto his contract, its criminal. Moyes needs to look at more than how good a proffessional he is, hes fucking rubbish. Jags looked out of his depth in the middle of the park, hes a great centre back and should not have been made to play in that position, regardless if he has in the past; hes not a midfielder. He put in some good tackles but was poor when he had the ball. I think Moyes got it very wrong with that decision. Lescott and Yobo cant seem to play together at CB. Both play very well when there along side Jags but together its like watching Bill and Ben. Lescott should be back at LB and hopefully that will in turn make Baines wake up and realise he has to start putting in the performances. The two young lads played well, Rodwell played extremely well under the circumstances; along side a proper central midfielder he may have been a bit more comfortable. Baxter was lively, looks a good prospect. Its pathetic to see though a whole bench full of youngsters when BLACKBURN ROVERS have Benni McCarthy and Matt Derbyshire on the bench. They need to get it sorted because that was a very disturbing performance. I just hope that this is the kick up the arse they all need because this just wont do. Remember Mr. Kenwright and Co. - NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM because that certainley wasnt good enough.

  18. Havnt got a name on mine, bought the long sleeved top though...kits are not cheap these days are they
  19. 1st To Die and The Quickie, both James Patterson. Both quite good if your interested
  20. I think a holding midfielder is essential because the only othere alternative is to play Philip Neville there....and nobody wants to see that again... Another proven striker to accompany the Yak is vital, Vaughn is still learning and Big Vic only seems to turn up when he feels like, maybe more competition will help him? This Moutiniho is a great prospect but I just hope Bill and Davey arnt hedging all their bets on this one player, fuck it up and just be left with Alan Smith I'm with Newdy with the RB idea, Neville can do a job there and Hibbert isnt bad cover but if were going to push forward we need to stop settling for players like the two mentioned, no offence to either of them but there not the sort of players that are going to help us win tropies! IF we had the money I think this position would also have to be addressed. Lets hope they have something up their sleeves cos it isnt looking too good at the minute. NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM....Lets hope they adhere to this and get the best we can in.
  21. One of the best matches I have ever seen. Great goal to win it but bad mistake from Cech for Turkeys second.
