well fuck me, i didn't see this one coming. Maybe the win that secures our Premier League survival and finishes off the Shite's title winning hopes. The best I have felt all season, maybe the best I have felt for a few seasons.

Is that real? Are we pretty much safe, 8 points clear, with 4 games to go? Did we just send Klopp off with the best goodbye? Did we keep a clean sheet against them and not get fucked by VAR?
I really don't know what to make of all that, I need to go lie down...

That free-kick by Young was hilariously bad.

His reaction on McNeil's goal shows that he really cares and loves this club. Pumping his fists, arms in the air. Really hope he starts to adjust to the league and can show some improvement cause I kinda love the guy

A victory tonight could save Dyche’s Everton career but I still want us to win.

I think that’s exactly the manager & the senior players role in those moments. It’s very distressing to see a team mate injured in that sense but there is still a job to do & focus required.
Re watching the highlights and having a laugh as Gana scored. I said last as he it came out to him “don’t you even dare you gimp leg fuck” only for him to plant it in the bottom corner 😂😂

Who isn't. The only explaination I can see, is that he must be doing very well in training.

    Starting XI
    Pickford - Young - Tark - Branth - Myko
    Gana - Gomes - Douc - Harrison - McNeil
    Calvert-Lewin
It's Dyche so no surprises there. I'd just like to know what his reason is for letting Young play. He's shit, he's finished, he should be out of here.

absolutely disgusting, FA cup replays have actually stopped clubs going under - the only thing that was almost pure about the game even though man united did it untold harm when they missed it.  I hate football now I really do.

This is the game in which all the players need to stand up and be counted - it is a proper 6 pointer. I can forgive the performance away to Chelsea if we get a reaction from the players and we get a deserved win against Forest. Beating Forest on Sunday is far more important than putting in a performance at Stamford Bridge. If the embarressing manner of Mondays defeat give the team the kick up that is needed for this run in, then it may not turn out to the be as bad a result as it initially looks.
The fans will well and truly get behind the team if they show the fight that is expect.

It's not acceptance of average at all, it's realising that reality is reality. And the reality is for us that we're pretty shit and that it's going to take a long time to improve to the extent that we challenge for anything remotely looking like success.
We're nowhere near chasing success currently but what I want us to chase is progress. That means finishing at least one place further up the league every season, possibly getting through to a further round in each cup (possibly because knock-out competitions are hard thing to get through).
What it doesn't mean is getting irate because the team isn't challenging for titles/cups all because we won a league in 1987. Times change. You have to realise where you currently are and where you want to get to. But it takes time and you need to have a bit of perspective.
Now, that does not mean that I don't want to get back to what we once were. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum means a hell of a lot to me, I have it tattooed on my skin. Nothing but the best is good enough is a fantastic motto to follow and we absolutely should live by it, but 'the best' doesn't really mean actually being the best of all. It means being the best you can be and the best we can be is not the best of all.
We need to learn to walk again before we can run.
