    I was raised a United fan by my (to be fair) Manchester-born elder brother so even though I've ultimately taken up my Dad's team there'll always be a lingering fondness. Paul 1300 mentions local sides - I didn't go for Fulham or QPR because I'd long since grown up with Everton in the house and didn't know the others at all. As for City, respect is not due when recent success is down to "some camel-shagger spunking money into the club's carcass"...

    Hi, my name's Lewis and I'm from Mortlake in SW London. When I was a small boy I was indoctrinated by my Manchester-born elder brother to support United and I did for many years. When I was about eleven years old I lost interest in football for a while; when I got back into it a couple of seasons ago I was still fond of the Devils because of our 'history' but I my heart wasn't in supporting them because, well, you know the stereotype... Anyway, to get to the point I adopted the other team that I'd grown up with, my Dad's Everton. To this day he has my felt-tip drawing of Duncan Ferguson (twelve fingers a hand and about twenty studs on each boot) on his office wall. I'm not a complete Toffee n00b but I'm a pretty green blue nevertheless. Looking forward to talking to you all. Oh, I'm a referee as well.
