  1. Ross is looking really lively though. Mirralas has also had a decent effort and looking very direct.
  2. Typical Everton so far. Lots of possession, controlling the game without creating much. Stoke have one chance to run at us, get down the wrong, put in a cross and a real chance.
  3. To be fair Long has always been just a finisher and not a great footballer. He reminds me of Hallam Hope....was always going to go through the motions and then move on. Said a few years ago that Maceleny is the one that has a chance. Just needs to push himself forward now after his injury.
  4. If Duffy was at any other club we would have saw him as bad average. I never understood what people saw in him. Admittedly he did OK when he came into a poor side. But these two young lads look like they can actually play the ball too.
  5. This thread should go back to being about the player. Your all as bad as each other. Having digs at Haf all the time then complaining when he bites. It's a forum and we should all be allowed to voice our opinions......whether they are right or wrong, it doesn't matter. So is this Lukaku any good or what?
  6. Agree here too. Barkley doesn't seem to have that will at the moment. I don't know whether it is because of his confidence or maybe age, but I hope it's not desire. Same goes for Lukaku. I think people forget that the two ate pretty much the same age.
  7. Now that I can agree with Haf. It's the hunger that he lacks and pure aggressiveness. To make a top player you need to want to prove your are better than anyone else. Win every personal duel on the pitch. He doesn't do that for me. Way too much the nice guy.
  8. Celta Vigo sold him last summer didn't they...actually I think he may have retired. Apparently he was the oldest ever player in the spanish league at 47.
  9. You have to accept an argument from Haf with that link. Simply it puts him at the low end of chance conversions. In a team like ours that is huge. Those stats are saying that he needs to improve his finishing, but that is he is getting in the right positions. I started further up the field, but got moved into the middle due to me being.. Too accurate...I always hit the centre of the goal. Scored more from midfield that from a forward position. What does bode well is that like it or not....he is still young and already he is getting the chances. Once he learns that slice...goals will come.
  10. The reality is there are a lot better business modules than our club out there. We would need a massive injection to change our fortunes, relocation etc. But we are in the premier league and one of the top half teams. If other teams overtake us...then I will still love Everton just as much. Money does not make trophy and success.
  11. Didn't he make an appearance in one of the last games. And set up a goal.
  12. Maybe some players don't think big lights and huge money are the most important things. Maybe he feels he can take Stoke to the next level. He also has to agree to the transfer himself though.
  13. It's only the club's have agreed so far....player still hasn't.
  14. That makes me feel so proud of our club.
  15. 5 years says to me that we plan on giving him a year or two on loan to carry on his progression. That would then give us either a player ready for the first team...or a player with experience that still has three years on a contract to sell.
  16. I just thought we didn't have anyone to fit that slot when we sold him. It's not always what the players worth, but how you can replace them.
  17. I wouldn't want to sell him. Been one of best for the past three years. Not only does he offer an attacking threat but due to his pace he often sweeps up at the back. It would be very difficult to replace him. Would remind me of letting Arteta go.
  18. Don't agree with him.being a defensive liability....he is our sweeper with his speed.
