  1. Gonna be a tough ask, they haven't conceded in 4 league games. That being said, they lost during the week to that West Ham side, I think 8 of the 10 outfield players were first team? Shame Gana is out. I like Mark's line up, try catch them on the break with Yan, Gerry and Kak bursting forward.
  2. I've held on and held on in regards to Martinez, probably because I had memories of that first season and the brilliant football we played compared to Moyes' team. But he's actively killing my interest in Everton now. Woke up at 5am to watch the game, thought fuck it we're gonna get destroyed, and went back to sleep. I had no interest whatsoever in watching the derby. What was even worse was I wasn't one bit surprised when I woke up to see 4-0. I really hope he pulls a rabbit out of his hat for Wembley, but I honestly can't see it. Bit of a catch 22 anyway, if we reach the final by some miracle, it will band aid over the cracks and give Martinez more time.
  3. I was quite enthusiastic on making Europa before seeing what it did to us last season. That being said, there's many other possible explanations for dropping from 5th to the bottom half - so maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing to qualify again.
  4. I'm not entirely sure anyone is convinced Joel is our next long term keeper, because he hasn't had a blinder nor a shocker. He's been solid and dealt with what's been thrown at him. You can only save the shots that are fired at you. The farce for me is that Howard is consistently underperforming. Not only does Robles deserve to be given a chance by means of Howards poor form, but he hasn't done anything to suggest he should lose it when he has been given a chance! If he has a few howlers then by all means I can live with Howard being picked but Robles playing is what's best for the team, however way you want to spin it!
  5. Couldn't watch the game live cause of work. Got home watched the highlights: Deflection goal and referee blunder costs us again. So fucking over it. Everton as usual.
  6. Very sad to see him leave. As mentioned above, a better bloke than player, and in saying that Norwhich will get a lot from him on the field. Will never forget him laughing and pointing right at Tomkin's enraged face after he took that pathetic dive. One of the funniest things I've seen on a football field.
  7. How can anyone possibly be not happy with that result? Playing City away and we don't get beaten? I'm as frustrated as anyone that we are drawing our way to a bottom half finish but in this instance a point is a blessing, not a curse.
  8. Would love to see Naismith, peanuts, Gibbo & Oviedo get a run. Decent players who seem to have been forgotten over the last year or so, despite all playing big parts when we were finishing in the top6. Times have obviously changed but a few of them deserve decent run outs before finishing up at Everton.
  9. He had Silva pretty rattled at the end as well. They hated playing him today. They weren't used to copping challenges like his.
  10. Besic. I love the arrogance with which he seems to play, he showed no fear what so ever of the superstars who City had up against him.
  11. A 1 goal lead doesn't inspire me much these days, but I'm glad to be ahead of these pricks! Besic has taken up where he left off against Spurs.
  12. Loved Besic when he came on. Better second half, would have taken a draw during that early battering. Still, disappointing to go another game without a win. How long has it been now?
