Adam
Says offer for around 3.5m. Also interested in Nugent still. Leaving it late. Think that will be his excuse. Tried to sign but ran out of time
MikeO
Everton have made a late move for Turkish international Fatih Tekke. The 28-year-old is hot property in his homeland, having bagged an impressive 91 goals in the league since 2000. He has also managed to continue his form with Turkey with eight strikes to his name in his 19 international appearances. Wigan have long been keen on securing his signature, while Portsmouth too showed a brief interest last month. However, Everton have now tried a beat-the-deadline move for the target-man. MikeO
Hey..be a good partnership with BT..Charlton have Bent and Bent and we'd have Fatih and Fatty . Edited January 31, 2006 by mikeo
ST DOM INGO
rumours are rife at the moment, just heard we have had an approach for Roy Makaay accepted but as usual many other teams involved. Tekke well I think it's a bit late now unless talks have already taken place, same old Everton leaving it till the last minute. Transfers take on average 5-10 days to sort out properly but we seem to be masters of the last gasp ones. Should be interesting though, how many players will we be linked with by 11-00pm with just an hour left DM said he will not pay 3m for Nugent, Preston want 4m and to make maters worse Derby have come in for their manager!!! Downtown
From the Guardian Rumour Mill section today: Merseyside battlers Everton are fuelling the surprisingly plausible story that they are to sign prolific Dutch striker Roy Makaay, who, despite being prolific Dutch striker Roy Makaay, is unwanted at Bayern Munich. Bourrusia Mönchengladbach fancy their chances too, mind.

There is no chance - its all about pacifying the fans and making it look as though the club is trying its best to find the 'right' players. I'm fed up with Moyes telling us that he aint going to panic buy - Anders Limpar, Don hutchinson, Kevin Campbell - were all panic buys and turned out to be good players for Everton. Just buy someone. Someone with a bit of talent .... but I doubt that the fans will be heard.
GoldfishMemory
but I doubt that the fans will be heard. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Come on you KNOW the fans wont be heard! If we sign anyone before the deadline i'l go to the Gay muslim kopite supporters monthly meeting with Reg after 8 pints of stella!!
