Randomness
errm, well thats an alternative way to get to kirkby, though it makes it impossible to drive, from lime street to moorfields, (they destroying an overpass for the trams) interesting. jamiemaher85
The tram system in Sheffield is quite good. A bit pricey but at least they normally run on time and they are all very regular.
CraccerC
hate em in manc, u think ur walkin on the pavement or something...then out of nowhere come a tram and you're confused, then you realise you must move.
jacko 1990
How Much are the Trams in Sheffield?
jamiemaher85
I think its usually £2.10 for a single or £2.70 dayrider. There are usually only the two fares so its always best to just get a dayrider (where you can use it all day as many times as you want) If your going to be travelling around all day then it's worth it but if your just making one journey its too expensive

jamiemaher85
sounds cheap to me.... im used to getting raped every month on tube fares Well compared to london prices i suppose it is cheap, but in sheffield it seems a bit more pricey. a single bus ticket up here cost's 50p so in comparison it makes the tram seem pricey
CraccerC
saying tht if i got return on tram everyday probably similar cost.... my student oyster gets me zones 1 and 2 for a month for 64 quid
jacko 1990
fukin hell, Bus costs 50p :S Child 85p Adult £1.70 No Tram.
jamiemaher85
Its not bad is it. I think with so many students in sheffield, and it being a fairly small city, they reduced the prices to encourage students to use the transport. Im not complaining. jacko 1990
£3.40 to and from college for students a day :S:S i work in L'pool so i have to get the bus into town, catch the Train to l'pool and back. £3.40 for Bus a day, £3.95 Return to liverpool =£7.35 a day! but i have a Weekly Trio Pass that costs £14.50 a week £7.35 x 5 days = £36.75( not including Bud Fares for the Weekend!) whereas my Pass is just £14.50(and can use it at weekends) Edited February 21, 2008 by jacko1990
Randomness
ones in manchester are a nightmare, for the RL grand final last october saw at least 3 fights and then was told by one of my friends from salford "oh yeah its much worse with man utd fans FIGHTING EACH OTHER every match day" because they were so packed. Fun on Derby day, or any other game the skysports man deems big we're involved in.
