Fiorentina Away

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As you probably know Rangers have drawn Fiorentina in the UEFA cup. I was wondering if the Everton fans had any trouble with the Fiorentina Ultras over there? Im undecided as to wether I should go because of the reputation of there fans.

So was it bad or wis it a good trip?

thanks..

Oh and its bad you got eliminated.. the more British teams in European competition the better.... (except Celtic of course ;) )

Well done to Rangers for a great result.

Nothing was discussed on this forum about any problems, and i dont recall anybody mentioning that there was any trouble over there.

Go for it mate, to hell with the consequences. :D Good luck.

Ye it was a good result :)

Will probably end up going. Just a bit weary because heard a few stories from last time we played in Italy, but then again I would go to Turkey to watch Rangers so Italy cant be any worse :P

Don't think it was the best experience ever, wasn't there personally but before the return the official site said...

"....Everton's strong contingent of travelling supporters also endured a disappointing night, with the facilities in the stadium and the conditions on the night.

It made for an inhospitable evening in the Italian city. Moyes now wants to ensure his players, and the backing of the crowd, ensure Goodison Park is a cauldron for a return leg Everton need to win by three goals to guarantee a place in the last eight.

Moyes said: "I think in all the games that we’ve been in in Europe, the supporters have been terrific. I think in the main they’ve been treated very well.

"I was disappointed, but maybe that’s Italian football now, the way they treat away supporters - they pen them in a fence in the corner.

"To be fair it’s hardly worth paying the money if that’s what you’re going to be put in and maybe that’s why we’re seeing so many empty stadiums for the big teams in Italy at the moment, maybe the way they’re looking after the supporters isn’t enough. And I thought that our supporters were treated quite shabbily."

Heard no reports of crowd trouble though.
