KillaGTiR Posted April 2, 2006 Report Share Posted April 2, 2006 Everton are rumoured to be close to signing Scott Spencer of Oldham Athletic, a player billed as the next Wayne Rooney. The ever-reliable Alan Nixon claims in his Sunday People column that Everton are close to agreeing a fee in the region of £200,000 plus installments based on appearances and the usual add-on clauses. Currently playing in Oldham's youth academy side, Spencer is a free scoring striker and would be a welcome addition to Everton's ranks.
