I think that he went for trials back in the Phillipines (where he is from) but failed to secure a contract. If true I think it shows he is no great loss. I seem to remember he signed a one year deal, but the player broke his leg and was released when he recovered. Apparently he was training with the club in January, but I don't think he has a playing contract. He may be part of the academy staff for younger players?
