blueinvalencia
The one that worries me is Arteta/Kilbane not what you would call a direct replacement.Looks like the forum has a new moderator

blueinvalencia
Whats a mistake? the lad posted a new thread (to him).Does it matter where he posts it? You can either answer it or not.Seems every forum has one <_<
Romey 1878
Yes it does matter, why start a "new" thread when theres already one open for his chosen topic. The AJ subject started about 10 threads all talking about the same thing which were closed apart from the main one, and main one fir his topic is already open so go there

blueinvalencia
But the one that made my blood really run cold Bluepips was Yobo/Lescott, a mate who is a Hull fan saw Lescott in the games at Wolves and the KC and says he is more than a bit suspect. Romey 1878
Im leaning more towards bringing in Huth instead of Lescott now, hes younger with more time to develop - Lescott is 26 and Huth is early twenties

Rob W
i read somewhere that chelsea wanted to swap huth for yobo. if yobo wont sign a new contract that would be good business although it would still leave us needing another CB

scouse
Yeah heard mixed reports on Lescott alrite bit of a Titus Bramble perhaps think Davies from WBA would be a good addition tho they rejected a 4.5 mill bid from Reading for him. CraccerC
i think weve got problems in midfield now because of signing AJ IMO arteta is a must in center mid, if he plays wide he cant play then killer thru balls can he, and AJ isnt gonna thrive off loadsa crosses.... but then who plays in the mid.... DM loves neville n cahill.... nev will b cap but surely he cant drop cahill? thts my thinkin anyways

thebluenose
this should be my team for next season. i reckon a 4 1 3 2 would be a good formation. -------------howard------------- hibbo---yobo---lescott----valente ---------------neville--------------- -------arteta----cahill-----ossie/VDM ---------BT-----------AJ------------- neville can hold the back line so that means we have cahill making the runs into the box plus we have 3 attacking midfielders supporting the attack of our 2 strikers. our back line looks solid and if howard does what he did in his first season for the mancs we have a pretty formiddable team
CraccerC
ossie wont play left and i still think arteta shud b in center

thebluenose
ossie wont play left and i still think arteta shud b in center <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well then where would you put cahill. i think with a defensive midfielder behind him that means that cahill should go into the box. and i believe we should have 2 strikers upfront. i think my formation is pretty good
EVA
My starting XI:- Howard Hibbo, Yobo, Lescott, Valente Arteta, Cahill, Neville, VDM/McFadden BT, AJ Subs: Stubbs, Martyn, McFadden (as an additional forward when we are after or as a winger to replace VDM who could be lack of stemina), Osman, Carsley (a cover for Neville when he is moved to replace Hibbo/Valente) To trasfer out: Simon Davies (2.5M), Killa (0.6M), Weir. May also sell either Naysmith or Pistone (prefer to sell Pistone more). Youngsters for further development: Anechibe, Vaughan, Ruddy, Turner, Spencer Unlike most, I won't sell McFadden, because he has just begining to show he could be a very good player, he is still young and could come even better at 25-26, and he has already built up some partnership w/BT and the entire squard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I think the above squad is quite a complete one. But to criticize, if I can still add a player to this squard, I may try:- (1) A pacy and tricky winger like Pennant, Lennon, SWP. (2) A playmaker ---- I like Zidane very mcuh but I don't think he would join us. I do not have much ideas about any world class playmaker. They are rare species who won't come cheap. But with the very good pair of BT and AJ, I hope Arteta/Cahill could mature into a playmaker, OR we make a sensational bid next season when we get European football. This is the next piece of jigsaw which could bring the club forward.
CraccerC
lol even mentioning zidane and sign for us in 1 sentence is laughable.....we have a playmaker, arteta...but he needs to play the playmaker but every1 wants to play him out wide where he cant thread thru balls for AJ...makes no sense to me
Romey 1878
But out wide he can put a perfect cross in for BT to nod in
StevO
id rather have Zidane too, but we will have to make some good offer if you want him to come out of retirement!
