Romey 1878
Anybody heard any news on McFadden's contract situation? I really want him to stay as towards the end of the season he showed glimpses of why we bought him
GoldfishMemory
Think theres more chance of Andy Pandy doing the business for us! Did play well at the end of the season tho, credit to the lad.
Romey 1878
If we let McFadden go and then Beattie or Johnson get injured then we'll be extremely fucked so its best to have cover dont you think

Romey 1878
I agree we should cut our losses if he demands too much, but who could we bring in that would cost about the same as him and score goals in the Prem? Theres not many are there Edited May 30, 2006 by EFCfan2007

Raccyboy
he is crap -- I really hope we sell him.............as for back-up to bt and Johnson, why not anichebe and vaughn (assume his injury situation doesn't become ongoing???)
Romey 1878
Because neither of them have the experience to be able to start a game for us if the need arises whereas McFadden does, and he is not shit i actually rate him
Raccyboy
just my opinion.....he certainly showed an improvement last season but not enough to be a regular for me and I'd much rather have the youngsters on the bench and getting the odd run out to help them get the experience you say they are lacking....maybe wigan would buy mcfadden.... Claire
If my sources are to be believed Faddy is askin for about 14 grand a week which in my opinion isnt an outrageous request seeing what we pay other people
Adam
Thats interesting. If that is what he is asking for then that is not bad compared with wages these days. reports where that he was after £k which would be right if he wanted 14 as they always get thinks wrong. Bill
Think i saw it somewhere that they offered him an extension on his contract cos of the brilliant first season he had, was slightly improved moneywise cos they were worried he might have been lured away for better money.........i think. Ian
i would offer him an slightly improved deal based on his end of season performances but if he starts to take the piss fuck him off to scotland we've got our victor now

Pat
Licker, pretty sure Cahill is on 23-24k. Earlier reports sugegsted Mcfadden was demanding similar. However, we are but shrooms arent we really in the whole jist of this.

GoldfishMemory
What are shrooms?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mushrooms i have a mate who's nickname is shroom cos he had a haircut like a mushroom all the way through school! Bluetrip
Mcfadden has scored ten goals in ninety four appearances. Ten goals in three years would disgrace an attacking midfielder nevermind a forward. Add to the fact he has no pace,is weak on the ball, has no positional awareness, cant cross a ball and has extremely eratic finishing. Weak on the wing, weak up front, crap player. Two blinders a season isn't going to keep us out of the relegation zone. At twenty three years old the unfullfilled potential excuse wont wash. and he's got the nerve to turn down an almost double payrise to 1 million (19.5k p/w). If he thinks he can get a better deal somewhere else then dont let the door smack you on the way out. Bill
Well said Bluetrip, he earns more in a week than i earn in a year, if thats not good enough for him, then like you said, f##k off somewhere else and try and get it. He's just not good enough to demand a double your money contract. PS...............I hear there's talk of him being Gay. (alledgedly)
GoldfishMemory
I think he's being a cheeky c*nt especially now we have 2 strikers & 2 good prospect who will be playing a part this season. Think he's just one of those players who would set the Championship or SPL on fire but he's just never gona make it in the Prem' Danny Cadermarteri (spelling?) comes to mind! MikeO
Why is this in "General Football" ? ...anyway... >>>McFadden<<<
Romey 1878
I just read that myself, i think it could be good because nobody is going to pay too much for him if he leaves so if he signs and plays better for us and then we want to get rid atleast we'll be able to get decent money for him
Pat
To answer Claire's Q & Fishes exp, yes Shroom is short for Mushroom. Uno kept in the dark & fed shit. Unlike the pop culture tag the Shroom had in my youth...Im glad those things dissapeared....no need to go there but ya aint been " OUTA YA BODY DEAD " till ya tripped on dry shrooms...1 for the oldies.
