My First Goal At Goodison

Hey everyone, new to the forum but always loved my club. Remember my first game was Palace at home, won 5-1 after going one nil down to a Ray Houghton wonder strike! Then the boys turned it on and smashed 5 in. Great memories. running a youth football movement for 8-19's now, been coaching for about 10 years and played semi-pro. Is it me or is Phil Neville twice the player since he left Utd?

Couldn't remember that so I had a look at the stats....in Houghton's time at Palace they never played at Goodison as far as I can see. We beat them 3-1 in Jan 95 before he joined, then they were relegated and he left them for Reading in the 97/98 pre-season when they came back up  .

Maybe it was a friendly?

I recall a 5-0 back in the early 80's (Big Bob got a hat-trick!)

It was mid nineties so like 94/95 season. Houghton scored a cracker and then we responded with 4, I left before the fifth. I could be wrong but am nearly sure. Most vivid memory of the day was my first taste of Z-cars, class!
