xavier Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 (edited) They needed to win. They did that. Although they did not destroy the Croats, Brazil were always safe. Apart from a couple of Croat chances, the game was quite comfortable for them. The first game is all about 3 points, not how you get them as long as you get them. Ronaldo was poor because he got no service. Ronaldinho had a decent game nothing special. They never got out of 2nd gear because they never needed to. Granted, The Italians and Argentinians might have looked better, but the tournament is a month long, there's loads of time for improvement fro Brazil.
