I thought this after the Man City handball vs us, as Everton in a relegation battle would be a huge interest. you watch tomorrow, var will do us us big time. They want Liverpool in the hunt for Europe and for us to be last day relegation/survival candidates. They said they "forgot" to draw the lines for offside... what the actual fuck?! Lies. Just a bunch of pricks the lot of them. I reckon I could identify a ref in civilian clothes, just like I could identify a Tory MP. The have that same “I’m incompetent as fuck and couldn’t make it in the real world but I’ve found a job that gives me power with a required arrogance to dismiss any failings or corruption associated with me.” Look on their face. I mean let’s take Matt Hancock, looks the perfect referee doesn’t he? From his “I’m not going bald honest” haircut to his “I’m technically fit but you know I toe poke the ball” gait. bellends the lot of them. Because with the media of the world on his every move it was always going to be between the two of them wasn't it? Add to that the pre-meditation, acquiring a tampon (maybe from his daughter) to take on to the course with him just in case he managed to out-drive someone; he's saying "you play like a girl" which infers that women are inferior. What in the hell does LIV have to do with it? Red herring. You didn't answer as to whether you'd do it incidentally. Not just a spur of the moment bit of banter, a totally thought out and planned act of stupidity; and given his history with women he should know better by now. Palfy
Comedians of both sexes constantly make gender jokes and they are never get questioned because of the so called comedic licence. Personally I think Woods made an error of judgement in trying to have a bit of banter with a friend on a competitive level in such a public space, it carried no malicious message it was a bit of fun unwisely delivered at the wrong time in the wrong place. Do I think there has been an over reaction in some quarters yes, do I understand why in some quarters the reaction has been outrage yes I do. Woods as apologised since, but some people rightly will be questioning his integrity and mentality and state of mind, to do something like that in the full glare of the media and most of the world, some will want to take it further and try to make sure maximum punishment is delivered, which is fine that's their choice, but what we have to careful about is not letting personal prejudices get in the way of the reality of what happened and why. My personal view is what a dick you fucked up big time, it was a silly joke in bad taste maybe as jokes go, but definitely in the wrong place. He has apologised and I hope he's learnt his lesson and we move on, and those who were most affected accept his apology and recognise it wasn't a malicious act, it was joke that went disastrously wrong. It’s more a case now that things that tiger woods has done is creating hysteria….. yet Sam Smith dresses up as a giant inflatable black cock on TV and continues to mischievously play on the whole gender neutral bandwagon that is rolling out of control. All because he loves attention and he is playing with fire. he thinks he’s a role model - is he fuck. David Bowie was a leader in that regard. He embraced the liberty to be who he wanted to be when people were scared to admit their sexual preference. He didn’t find the need to change the word fisherman to fisher them… he just had the courage to wear what he wanted and sleep with who he wanted. Yet here we are in a world where Sam Smith can be offended by the use of the word “man” but happily offend religions on stage. it’s getting ridiculous. dunlopp9987 Posted Friday at 18:55 Report Share Posted Friday at 18:55 Watching Bundesliga highlights from the weekend. Ref books the same Leverkusen player on two separate occasions for simulation in the box. Both times he's called to look at VAR, determines that they actually were penalties and rescinds the cards to the Leverkusen player. On two separate occasions. No ego from the ref or his VAR counterparts, they're trying to make the right decisions. This is what is so royally fucked up with VAR in England. The referees union is so intent on standing by each other that they're unwilling to even have someone go look at VAR because they're afraid of undermining each other. Makes me so angry.
