The Beard
This may have been asked before, so apologies. See if you can get this without cheating, I got 4 in about fifteen minutes, I had to rely on the knowledge of an older and wiser gentleman to get the fifth. Name 5 players who have played for Everton and Liverpool, since the 60's, who share the same name (not the same person)?
The Beard
I guess that was too hard for you all then?

MikeO
I might be getting the question wrong but here goes. John Morrisey. Brian Borrows Peter Beardsley Gary Ablett Those are people who played for both clubs Bill (except Borrows )....you could add Sheedy, Barmby, Xavier, Johnson, Westerweld & Hutchinson. Not what Beard's looking for....and I've trawled through two Liverpool player databases tonight and can't get anyone else. Pissing me off now . The Beard
Ok, some feedback. Bill has one right. John Morrisey played for Liverpool (and Everton of course), his son also John Morrisey played one game for us in 1985. MikeO has Alan Irvine correct, the Liverpool Alan Irvine played a couple of games in the 70's while our Alan Irvine was a right winger in the 80's, famous for a cracking goal in the FA Cup that lit our season up and started the ball rolling for us to go on and dominate the league. The other answers are : John McLoughlan, Liverpool midfielder in the 60's, while our John McCloughlan was a balding Scottish full back in the 70's. Michael Thomas, our's more famous for being known as 'Micky' and doing time for fraud, graced Goodison in the 80's before falling foul of Howard Kendal's decision to play him in the reserves, whilst Liverpool's Michael Thomas was more famous for scoring against them for Arsenal to win the league. The final one, which I couldn't get was Roeger Hunt, Liverpool's forward in the 60's, famed centre forward and famous for not following up to score in the world cup final in the 'was it over the line incident', while our Roger Hunt, famous for his donkey kick free kick against us while playing for Coventry was more famous for being known by his middle name 'Ernie' i.e Ernie Hunt. He played for us in the 60's and changed his name as not to get confused with the more note Liverpool player of the same name.

rubecula
I see what you mean Rubes, maybe I didn't word the question too well. No problem mate, just shows how thick I am thinking that there wer five the same anyway. If I had understood it the only ones I would have got were John Morrisey and Ernie (Roger) Hunt.
