Bill
If you thought you would be seeing lots of Girls in their footy strips i'm sorry to disappoint you. With the Swans [swansea] coming into the prem this season it made me think of how many teams i could name with Bird names as their nickname. I got 12 but i'm sure theres More, anybody want to have a crack at it. I'll start you off. Swans ----- Swansea Magpies --- Newcastle
rubecula
Robins - Wrexham Owls - Sheffield Wednesday Throstles - West Brom Bluebirds - Cardiff Spurs - Tottenham (Not to sure sure but I think Spurs are something to do with Cockerels) Canaries - Norwich. Without Googling it I am not sure I can think of any more just now.
The Beard
Bristol City- Robins Eagles- Crystal Palace Seagulls- Brighton Magpies- Notts County Bantams- Bradford Peacocks- Leeds Swifts- Walsall I think the last two where ex-nicknames or lesser known. Added to Bills and Rubes that gives us 15, can't think of any more at the mo. Edited May 31, 2011 by The Beard

The Beard
Hartlepool, a little ambiguous that one. Maybe they can be used in the four legged category one.

The Beard
And more. Maybe Harriers for Kiddrminster, Sandgrounders for Southport, haha maybe getting off track there. p.s I think Walsall are Saddlers, I mentioned them earlier. p.p.s Cheltenham are another 'Robins', I think. They play in red and white anyway so may be them? Edited May 31, 2011 by The Beard
Bill
Yeah, with The Swans and The Magpies from the 1st post, I think this just about covers them all. Lewes in the conference are called the Rooks.
