Newty82
https://www.clubcall.com/everton/city-linked-with-barkley-1763326.html No doubt City are going to have a major overhaul. They have the oldest squad in the Premiership, just ahead of us and QPR. I'm not sure they have the £ turnover to do it in line with FFP though. One to watch that. Players will always be a target to keep in line with the homegrown rules.

Newty82
I doubt they'll give a shit about that. Ha! Yeah, I suppose they'll brush any fine off. But I think expulsion from the Champs League will make them think. They'll lose a decent whack of cash if they were banned.

In that case then, the whole thing is a farce isn't it? Unless you get expelled it's a pointless exercise!!
Romey 1878
In that case then, the whole thing is a farce isn't it? Unless you get expelled it's a pointless exercise!! It most definitely is a farce. I'd love to be proved wrong and they do expel one of the big boys but I just couldn't see it. The only time they'd flex their muscle in that way would be if it was one of the smaller clubs in the CL. Matt
StevO
If they get caught out next time their CL squad could be cut as low as 18, any fine won't bother them, but if their squad is that small they would struggle to keep a big squad if loads of them couldn't play CL. Barkley won't leave this summer anyway.

Paddock
For 50 million I would sell him in a heart beat. I'd sell him for 30 personally but 50 is simply a no brainer.

Matt
Read that before. To be honest, I'd give him a chance there. He can shoot, he can link up play, it'd stop him having to think which would be good! Back up plan, but feasible

Matt
Shall we call it Plan C? Plan B, subsection A. We need variety. It's another option. Even if it's a back up plan, it's worth considering.

London Blue
I think Barkley will be a major player next season I just hope he takes a good break in the summer. Agreed, with a rest, and a regular starting place, being played in his correct position and some support he will be phenomenal.
duncanmckenzieismagic
Agreed, with a rest, and a regular starting place, being played in his correct position and some support he will be phenomenal. Shukes
It was pleasing to hear the crowd applauding him when he tried to move the ball forward...even when he lost it. More of that will show him that this is what we want to see.
Btay
Thought he looked hungry, dropping deep to get on the ball. Like what has been said before next season will be his time.
