Ola Posted June 29, 2006 Report Share Posted June 29, 2006 is it just me or should figo have been sent off 4 the headbutt on marc van bommel,also video evadence shows quite clearly the offence figo committed,my point being fifa have asked the refs to clamp down and they have big time to the point were its commical,so why did fifa not ban him 4 a blatent headbutt, the rules of the game state your off violent conduct, is this fair play me thinks not <_< Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This means that FIFA cant take any action to over rule the ref, if the ref had not taken any action at all the FIFA would have had grounds to use video evidence and ban Figo. Randomness Posted June 29, 2006 Report Share Posted June 29, 2006 ye the ref booked him for headbutting, if he had booked him for being an arsehole, then the ref writes in the report "56:23 booked luis figo for being an arsehole" then fifa can take action for the headbutt, but he wrote "<time> booked figo for headbutt" if the ref doesnt see it, then they can take action. Just a forehead to forehead push, then the Dutchman thought about it for a bit before dropping like a sack of spuds. Though people have been sent off for that, I'd be disappointed if one of ours was.
