I know nothing about the Eagle Cricket Club, Never heard of it, but the Riverside AFC is a club in the North East (Durham area I seem to remember) I don't know if they changed their name, but if they did it would probably be to Chester Le Street or something else from the area.

"Its not a quiz as such just a bit of daily trivia but you can answer it if you like.

If people know it, all well and good, if they dont know it they've learnt something.

But its there to be answered."wink.png

Being the saddo I am, I know Eagle Cricket Club was Leyton Orient. They changed their name because most of the players worked for the Orient shipping line. Riverside AFC, I would guess at Middlesbrough, for the obvious reason as their ground is called that. Although other teams near a river maybe considered such as Stockport (River Mersey), Ipswich (River Orwell), Cardif (River Taff) but i'll stick with Boro.

Answer .... Manchester City's Rodney Marsh and Manchester United's George Best.

Todays trivia ...

Q: Who were the last two English managers to win the Football League (Carling) Cup?

I reckon this could be going back with the foreign and successful Scottish managers we have had. Steve McClaren with Boro, mid 2000's and David pleat when he managed Luton in the 1980's, although that may be to far back, are my guesses.
