I don’t think any American thinks our English is better, you lot are way more proper and stuffy so you say it all correctly.

Maybe in Surrey. The rest of the UK is more messed up than you Yanks ;)

Watched too many Hollywood movies with stereotypical Englishmen methinks. Accents and colloquialisms can change in fifty miles over here, so much variance.

Tbf, I imagine our worst are worse than your worst.

But how do you define "worst"? All are evolutions; scouse, redneck, geordie or even Cornish (no understanding them:otvwhistle:).

A great smörgåsbord, linguistics fascinate me.

50!? You get different Scouse in the North and South of Liverpool. Then Lancashire on the outskirts which ranges from full wool to scouse, not including the weird mix in Runcorn. Posh Scouse in Cheshire, scally/want-a-be Scouse in Birkenhead, the other accent cunts have in Cheshire/the Wirral were they've purposely tried to dilute the Scouse. Then North Welsh, plus the hybrid the locals actually speak when people aren't around in North Wales. Think that's less than 20 miles. Tbf I'd even go as far as district to district.

Watching these matches, there a few things I have to admit.

Gray looks to have great fast feet. And after thinking he had no end product, he has set up numerous chances and attacking opportunities.

Townsend is a proper winger, good old fashioned winger. He actually has pace to.

Gbamin can be a monster, but really needs to get his pace up. Not just running, but speed of thought on the ball.

Iwobi has looked good! Seems faster, more direct, and has such a good turn on him.

Kenny is like a cheap version of Hibbert.

Gordon is showing promise again. Is this because he is concentrating on attacking more?

Broadhead can be a good option on the bench. Decent pace, tricky, and strong.

He showed glimpses of his uncle the way he was on the ball. Imagine he's a nightmare to get the ball off when playing 1v1 in training.

Mike, I was thinking of you last week, hope your doing OK, never an easy day dealing with some anniversaries.

Thanks Geoff mate, not going to be an easy Tuesday night/Wednesday morning but have some plans to mark it, can't believe it's a year.

She looks very happy to be wearing it, had you forced her to?

Cant believe it’s been a year, that’s mad.

No chance I ever forced her to do anything, I'd have been sleeping on the sofa if I tried:unsure:. Really don't remember why she was wearing it, she was an Arsenal fan primarily (because her dad was) but she did come over to the Blue side once she saw how invested Josh became.

I love the salmon and navy combo, have the NEC stripe shirt. Hope your mates at TT are keeping you going and thoughts to you and family at this time.

Rhanks Gwlad.

Have that shirt as well, I've told the story before but I'll do it again; I was living in Somerset with my parents in 1994 after leaving my flat/job in London with heath problems. There was a shop in Wells that had the shirt (Tony Pryce sports) for a crazy high price considering it was the end of the season but I promised myself I'd buy it if we were relegated, to show loyalty, even though I had only about £50 to my name. We won and I thought, "fuck it" and jumped into my parent's car (didn't have my own, jeez turning into a right sob story😂) and got to the shop just before it closed. Great decision!

I lived in north Wales for six years, and locals could tell from which village a speaker came - literally four or five miles apart.

Season ticket email from Everton 🙂

Got all excited, only to find…. Unfortunately this time you are not successful 🙁

Got the same today first time they’ve done that in the last 4-5 years, we won’t be getting a season ticket anytime soon mate, well until the new stadium opens.

Yeah that's about right, really not expecting to get one (two) before the move but hopefully being on the list for a while puts us in a good place for BMD.....assuming we're still alive:unsure:

Has anyone who opted for e-season tickets has the email yet? They were meant to be going out today

After seeing the fiasco it caused at Analfield yesterday I am dreading trying to get in on Saturday

I can’t understand anyone getting it on their phone it’s crazy for the sake of a fiver you want a card.

I take the kids so for me it’s an extra £20 plus I have one of those RFID wallets that can only hold 5 cards so thought it would be easier but I’m already beginning to regret it!

Not had mine yet.

I always go up for the first game about an hour before kick off, so I'm hoping that'll be enough time!

I sometimes have a spare ticket so I need to be able to take someone with me you can't do that if it's on someone's phone.

Looking forward to the video I can’t understand your 2 vaccination cads don’t get you into the stadium for all the trouble they had at Anfield I never heard any mention of Covid passes.

As I said in another thread patto, get the NHS app on your phone and that will confirm your vac status. The card/s you get have never been and will never be acceptable evidence, app is dead easy to enter your details and get what's needed.

In typical Everton fashion there are a few issues.
My mate who I go the match with always buys our season tickets on his credit card and I give him the money. But he’s on holiday at the moment trying to arrange his wedding in Kiev, so won’t be back in time for the game.
The club will be sending links for both of our season tickets to his email address, great.
To reduce any issues I called the club a few weeks back and paid the £10 for us both to have cards, I trust the iPhone app but doesn’t work when taking someone else, and explained why and they agreed to post both of our tickets to my address.
There is now a possibility that the club have posted both our tickets to my mates address, but they can’t confirm this but I should wait a couple of days and see if they turn up. If not I’ve got to go and bother his soon to be Mother in law for the spare key and start looking through his post.
Fan services. Excellent.

My Dad also hasn’t received his season card yet, but he’s already expecting to be stood on Bullens Road on Saturday afternoon and not get into the ground.

Everton are asking for Covid passes Liverpool are not so it’s Everton making it really hard for our supporters.

I would love to know how many teams are asking for Covid passes this weekend.

It's a league policy (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58153110) so they will be. It's nothing to do with Everton.

If you haven't had the vaccine then if you can show you've had a negative covid test within 48 hours of the game then you're fine to get in as well.

It's really not making it hard at all.

No I’m fine so if you have friendly’s it doesn’t apply of which Liverpool have just had 2.

Everyone's fine, patto.

The most difficult part will be the digital season tickets going wrong, rather than anything to do with the covid stuff. Everton absolutely will be able to be blamed for that if it all goes tits up.

Me neither pffff!

Absolute joke. You just know they’re going to announce on Friday there are issues with it and anyone that applied for a digital season ticket will have to go to the box office on match day to get a paper ticket instead, causing absolute chaos.
