P.s how is Naismith or Coleman NOT homegrown?

Homegrown players, "irrespective of nationality or age, have been affiliated to the FA or Welsh FA for a period of three seasons or 36 months prior to 21st birthday", so neither qualify. Which means that Lukaku will be homegrown for example, despite being a full international before he even moved to England.

What's happened to the Kipper forum? Not looked at it for years but it used to be really big; now it's deserted with no recent posts (only one short exchange since April).

Not looked at it, Mike. Think it closed a while back didn't it? So maybe people just found new places to go and didn't come back if it reopened.

Not that surprising as Jags isn't as bad a ball player as people make out, it's his composure that I worry about. and his passing to a player at the wrong time.

He's terrible. He's top of that list because of the amount of 2 yard passes he does across the back four.

Nice gesture.

This is typical tabloid tosh though

The United game kicks-off at 12 noon, but while Martinez said the timing was a “disappointment” he refused to expand.

“The kick-off time is a bit of a disappointment because every hour you get is crucial,” he said. “But we don’t moan we wanted to be in Europe. I don’t see that as a problem at all.

“We accept the challenge of coping with that.”

Why does he need to "expand"? He said exactly what he wanted to say, didn't complain at all; and he certainly didn't "refuse" to expand because nobody asked him to. Express trying to create an issue where there isn't one. Twats the lot of them.

I love grantland and had not seen this article. However it is too early to say a top 4 spot is dead. The season is still young and if we can catch fire while our players continue getting fit, we'll be contesting. It is going to be tough juggling the FA Cup, Europa (if we're still in it *knock on wood*) and the league but it is possible.
