EFC-Paul
I think it's quite the opposite tbh Testing Kroenke's resolve in probably his best position to do so with the fans up in arms over the lack of progress Kroenke won't budge Usmanov will surely get fed up of being sidelined with no way forward he can say he tried sell his shares and join Mo cracking a bottle of champagne open whilst opening Bramley Moore.... Wishful thinking I know but I really wouldn't rule it out

Paddock
Why? What's making you feel like that? Just a feeling I get- I think he was promised massive things and slowly but surely it's starting to unravel. We missed out on target after target last season, this season, although it's still very early seems to be following the same pattern. He's made it crystal clear he has his targets and it's now up to the board he's said his phone is glued to him in case he has to get a flight. If none of that is forthcoming he will take no bullshit like Moyes and Nobby Martinez, he'll just walk. I hope I'm wrong but I can smell it in the air. That makes a lot of sense the board need to come up with the goods, Moshiri has promised the money is there now I hope we see some action in the market soon, and we haven't been fed another tale. What has crossed my mind and I hope I'm wrong, is that now the stadium has got the green light, do the board want to invest more money into that than the team, because a new stadium would make them personally a lot more money. A new stadium will make no money if the team that it represents is shit. The balance has to be bang on.

I know what you mean, im yet to be 100% convinced by Moshiri, he promised big changes when he came in and so far not a huge amount is happening. He is the one who spoke to the national media about £60m bids for defenders, yet this year it looks like we need to sell players before we can bring anyone else in. I do hope i am wrong and to be fair it is hard to say anything till the season starts and we will know what the team looks like. But if RK has handed the board a list of targets, im slightly like you i have a feeling that if he doesn't get them he will walk, i hope not though. Lowensda
Not surprised by Kone at all, gets £40k a week off the wage bill. McAleny, probably could have been sold last year and some sell-on clauses adding because I think he'd be a great Championship player. Paddock
Kone made 15 appearances a year and scored 2.5 goal per year and was taking 40 grand a week out the club which means we paid him 8.32 million in that time which equates to 832k per goal or £1492 and pence for every minute he played for us. Paddock
He should never have been signed in the first place. Nope, nor Hennen, Mcgeady, Rodriguez, Cleverley, Niasse, Alcaraz, either.
Bailey
Kone was a good footballer and if he didn't get such a bad injury early on he would have been a really solid first team player as back up to Lukaku. I watch him in a training video under Koeman before he got injured (again) and he was absolutely bossing it, head and shoulders above everyone else. If you had watched that video you would think he was the one being touted at £87mil and not Rom! Cleverley was a good signing on a free but it didn't work out for him and Niasse, as shit as he is, has shown that he can score goals. He has done well for Watford and made us a tidy fee in the process. Even Alcaraz stood in when needed with mixed results. Some games he played really well and some games he was absolute garbage. Again he just couldn't stay fit. The problem was that they were all back ups and not improvements on the first team. If there is one thing the Martinez era showed is that you should never buy bench players. Always buy players to improve the first team and then the players they replace sit on the bench. The other two lads were development squad buys so they are always hit and miss. Matt

It's ridiculous how often this notion is overlooked. Morgan and Idrissa are first teamers. They put Barry and McCarthy on the bench, who in turn become squad players (thankfully). It should always be the way. Matt and Romey 1878
Paddock
It wasn't just the buying- it was the wages they were on- handing a crocked Hibbert a new deal. It was almost like he couldn't believe his liucj and was saying "look lads, these soft cunts have left me with the purse strings it's not my money so who's arsed.
