I see confirmed as the worst home season in the history of the club, we've had less points at home but only when a win was only worth two points, and when you adjust them to three for a win we would've got more points. We got 22 points at home this season; when we were relegated (finishing bottom) in 1929/30 we would've got (with three points for a win), 25, though admittedly a forty-two game season so we had two more games. But points per game this season we were still worse.

1950/51 relegation season we got 26 points finishing last.

Nobody can say that this is the worst Everton team in history so I think the conclusion you have to draw, 'specially given the fact that the three home league games we had with fans in we won, is how important the crowd is to us. How important we are to on-field performance, seemingly more so than any other club. That actually makes me smile a bit.

Hopefully it puts to bed the ludicrous myth that playing at Goodison is bad for the players because of the fans. It's absolute bollocks.

The team have missed the fans and the opposition are pleased we are not there.

Richarlison especially- feeds off the energy, home or away

Should have been Godfrey,  other players have been through periods when they didn't play so well, but Godfrey hasn't played a bad game since he made his Debut.

First name on the sheet for me, LB, RB, CH, you can't leave him out of the side, I'd put him in anywhere rather than play without him.

Another season done another year older but none the wiser as to when our fortunes will change. To be honest I’m clad it’s finished the torture of the last 4 weeks is finally over and calmness has descended over me, with the pressure of expectations lifted, and the disappointment finally accepted.
With the Euro’s to look forward to as pleasant distraction from everything Everton for a short while, I can recharge my batteries for the season a head, as Rom so often says rinse and repeat, I live in hope we don’t here that from him again next season, but deep down something tells me we will.

This season was so good I've just renewed my season ticket for next season within the first few hours of the window being open.

I signed up to the waiting list, been 20 years since I had my last one but now I'm back in the North West, nothing to stop me :)

Bit of a pussy doing this one in the summer though:otvwhistle:. Although actually the Western Isles at this time of year will make him feel right at home; pleased to see he'll be passing my way again.

Would love to meet him and shake his hand, let him know how much of a difference he is making to peoples lives.

Yep it's a pleasure to meet the lad, so humble (in a good way) and grounded; can only think he now does the "job" full time thanks to the scale of what it's become and corporate sponsors getting involved. Can be 100% sure he only "pays" himself what he needs to get by on.

I feel fortunate that I have, and on many occasions, he is always at home games with his bucket, he really appreciates every penny that goes in, we always try and find him and drop a few quid in, top bloke IMO

Always around the fan zone pre-match posing for photos with kids, etc.

Whenever he’s posted clips from his home I’ve thought it looks like he’s worth a pretty penny anyway. Regardless - fair play to him 👏🏼

We go up to see the northern half of the clan and stay for a week or so, which we do 4 or so times a season. Respect for going to every home game from Bucks!

How old is your boy?

He’s 15 now (so I think from memory a little older than yours). If you ever do a day trip give me a shout.

Sounds good! It goes quickly though. Which is both a blessing and a curse. Especially if you’re on shift work like I was at his age.

Everton are cursed. I only watched the second half of the England match.

Godfrey comes on and nearly scores an own goal with his first touch, and DCL gets a yellow with his first touch haha.... and we get outplayed by Austria!!!! You can’t write this shit haha!

I know it’s just a friendly, bit damn did it feel like our season is just continuing.

It was a bit of a mixed bag for the Everton lot.

Godfrey had a bit of a shocker in his short cameo.

Dom had one half chance that he talked himself out of.

Pickford did well but had a bit of a wobble at the end.

And Dom’s back pass straight to their midfielder in injury time which resulted in their last attempt at goal, if that had gone in that would have summed our last 24 hours up perfectly.

Oh yeh, I had forgotten about that!

To be fair, their heads must be swirling a bit at the moment.

King, Walcott, Bolasie and Besic all released. Olsen returns to Roma.

Broadhead has been offered a new contract. Fucks sake.

Think Olsen would probably have come back if Ancelotti would have stayed, but I won't lose sleep over him leaving alongside the others.

Don't understand the Broadhead deal, but not a surprise considering its been whispered for months now.

Very weird because it still records the full number of posts made below the "newbie" icon, but personalised names have disappeared.
