MC11 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 No real stand out free transfers other than maybe: Lampard A. Cole Barry Lescott All the wrong side of 30 though possibly looking for a big payday. Quote
msloan78 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 There's a few surprises in there alongside the usual not good enough to make it at PL level. Reckon you could get a pretty decent starting 11 out of the lot have been released. Gomes (Tottenham) Cole (Chelsea), Lexcott (Man C), Ferdinand (Man U), Dossena (Sunderland) Albrighton (Villa), Lampard (Chelsea), Collison (West Ham), Gera (West Brom) Bendtner (Arsenal), Etoo (Chelsea) Quote
Louis Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 The Federico Macheda hype didn't last long did it? Quote
Kant Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Eto'o, Cole and Lampard can still play meaningful minutes for the right team. I only hope it's not us. We're well stocked at LB, AMC is Barkley's position and Eto'o still could do a job but he'd be too expensive in wages. Quote

Newty82 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Some decent players from the big spenders. Only other name that caught my eye as a player who did quite well last season was Sidwell from Fulham. Other than that, nah. Quote
Cornish Steve Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 We have the fewest number of free transfers. What does that imply? The other team with a low number is Swansea. Quote
Vranny Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 We have the fewest number of free transfers. What does that imply? The other team with a low number is Swansea. We already have a small squad and we'll need everyone we can for Europe next season. Quote
Matt Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 Speroni, Pantilimon and Schwarzer on frees?! Id take one as backup for T-How! Quote
MikeO Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 Thought Villa had high hopes for Delfouneso.....surprised to see him there. But looking up his stats he's been out on loan a lot, maybe didn't live up to expectations. Quote
Matt Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 Gomes no longer an option http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27555018 Quote
