marcopaulo Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 don't usually care about celebs and that with obviously not knowing them but it actually made me a bit sad this one Quote
rubecula Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Rik Mayall (Lord Flasheart in Blackadder) has died suddenly aged 56. Not my favourite comedy actor but a genius of his type I think and a very good actor too. RIP Quote
MikeO Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Shame this; liked his early stuff very much (Dangerous Brothers/Kevin Turvey) as well as The Young Ones. Not so keen on Bottom, maybe I'd just outgrown that sort of humour. Wonder if it was to do with the quad accident that put him in a coma a few years back? Quote
Guest Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 Gutted when I heard it. The mans a legend. Bottom for me was amazing. The gas man episode when he was taped to the ceiling? quality. Quote
StevO Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 Loved Bottom and The Young Ones. The missus favourite film as a kid was Drop Dead Fred. Sadness in our house last night. Was a true comedy great IMO. Quote
Matt Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 some may take offence to the joke, but personally think Rik would've loved it. Just to be sure I dont offend... Someone told me Rik Mayall had died and I didnt believe them So I spent an hour or so googling "Bottom" and "Young Ones"....Can someone come and bail me out at the police station please? marcopaulo 1 Quote
